Free Large Hungry Jack's Meal + Delivery (Free with DashPass on Orders over $20) + Service Fee @ DoorDash

3740
GOLARGE30

Must be a glitch, I applied 30% off hungry jacks large meal but it discounted the entire meal.

With Dash pass, it waived the delivery fee (for orders over $20) so I just paid the service fee.

Example:
Grilled Master large meal: $23.55
Discount: -$23.55
Delivery (dash pass): free
Service fee: $2.36
= Total: $2.36

Not sure how long until the glitch is fixed!
Worked on iOS and Android app

Edit: make sure to apply the promo at promotions section

  • +1

Great, after they fixed the code the stores are taking orders again

  • I must have just squeezed in a grilled chicken meal for my Mum's dinner before it stopped.

  • +10

Unfortunately some users exploit these deals, which send off red flags.

Shame some people cannot just order a normal amount instead of 5 or 6 meals. Some of you are bloody seagulls.

User above should be ashamed as well.

    • +17

Wouldn't have mattered if you ordered one or many, it would have been fixed anyway.. It was posted on OzBargain so it would have been used be hundreds of different users.

Congrats to all that got in and thanks again OP. The real MVP

    • +2

There's no honour or code among OzBargainers anymore.

    • Would have expired anyway - T&C says until fully redeemed. When it's a glitch/hack, you need to be on it fast.

    • +2

If it was me I'd keep it to myself and abuse it for a year of free meals like I've done in the past unfortunately have gained some weight

      • +4

username checked out but you are ghost so doesnt matter much ?

    • -2

This is another reason why I think there should be some sort of validation process for accounts on here. It's going to get hammered once it's on here but there's also a massive amount of seagulls that don't contribute at all which will flag it much sooner

  • Damn, too bad I didn't see this sooner.

  • +1

I got a call from Doordash support asking if i had duplicate orders, merchant was confused haha. (got 2 one for wifey and one for me)

    • Nice one Pierce

    • Same here.

  • Thanks OP, Ultimate Double Whopper meal delivered in an hour.

  • PARTY'S OVER?

  • +2

All my multiple orders turned up across two states for family and friends great deal and thanks OP

    • I should have thought of that!

  • +12

My local Hungry Jack just texted me šŸ˜‚
    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/60614/96815/79ded861-dā€¦

    • -8

This is hilarous. You should ask for a refund at the full value of the meal, and for them to fulfil the order

    • +1

What a weird text. Why couldn't they just throw the burnt patty out and cook a new one and try not to burn it this time?

Maybe they are running out of angus and used that as an excuse

      • -5

It's QLD, they have one brain cell between them in the entire state so maybe someone else was using it?

    • -8

My local HJ just texted me.
Said they cannot make my order as the online order machine that recieves door dash orders blew up and the establishment is on fire.

      • +6

        stupid comment

        • -7

          Ok champ

      • +1

        Flame grilled for sure

      • I'm loving it.

    • Damn, back when I worked at Hungry Jack's the Whopper was a 6 inch patty. If it's still the same thickness, I think that's in the vicinity of 30% smaller. Geometry was my least favourite maths though.

  • Order arrived! Unfortunately they didnā€™t deliver my drink.
    Lucky it was only $2.41ā€¦.

    • +1

complain. you might get a credit!

      • Haha might let it pass this time - you know that saying about gift horse…

        • -3

          Please, go on?

  • driver for my 1st order is still showing as chillin at HJ's even though it says he's on the way… guess he must be loading up on the 5 million orders they got from everyone.

    • +1

Iā€™ve had some shocking drivers on DD lately. One was ā€œon the wayā€, but had picked up the food and then driven to a shopping centre 15 minutes in the opposite direction because his kid needed something from Woolies (????)
Have also had one who sat and chilled at HJs for no clear reason. Weā€™d ordered crispy chicken that day and crispy it was not

      • My meal got picked up and taken for a 30 minute drive dropping off someone elseā€™s food. Was cold when I got it. Trying not to grumble as it was only $2

  • My scheduled order arrived! This was brilliant, thanks OP.

  • +1

Thank you OP and ozbargain for ruining my diet again.

  • I took on someoneā€™s advice here and placed the order despite ā€œdelivery unavailableā€ - thank you.

My orders came soggy with the drink spilling everywhere. Spoke to DD and they immediately refunded $50 in credits for the 2 orders. Lol, big win

Sucks that I didnā€™t get to enjoy it that well because it was soggy but oh well.

  • Doordash must seriously be run by a bunch of trolls. Ordered at 2:10PM, still waiting… Never using doordash again (until they screw up again lol)

  • Meal arrived 45 min late and stone cold, got instant automated refundā€¦ but now have to make an edible dinner lol

    • I scheduled one for 6.10. No movement yet…. But am hungry…….

Edit: Apparently the dasher have been waiting at HJ for the last 40 minutes….

    • I ordered at 1430 for immediate delivery.
It was supposed to show up at 1530.
      Showed up at 1630.
      No automated refund.

      • Itā€™s not literally automated , go to your order, click help, choose item quality NOT late issue.

If you click late it just gives u a message along lines of oh well very sad.

Click item quality, choose the applicable (late, cold) then it goes to automated refund.

        • I did that and they gave me $10, useless service cant believe people pay this much for this kind of service.

  • What an absolute crap intro to doordash regardless of the heavily discounted meal.

Order receipt shows made at 5.26 and arrives at 6.21 stone cold and the drink all over the food.

No wonder they have glitches. Who pays for this crap at full price?

  • +5

Why people complain so much about free food delivery getting late food is soggy etc. What did you expect when everyone started to use glitch and get free food? I am actually surprised they took so long to fix it and hungry jacks not even complain or cancel and honoured all when it was doordash's mistake.

    • The food was late, stone cold and the drink was all over it. Regardless of what you spend or if its free, you are still entitled to complain about that.

      • -1

Do you think this is a normal example of a normal day of using the service? This is a loophole which you have knowingly exploited. It's not like they had warning or an opportunity to prepare for it, be reasonable.

        • They made $888 million last year in revenue. I am sure they will be fine.

Does that make it right for the entire drink to be all over the food?

          • @iNeed2Pee: You're missing the point EVERY time. This is not about Doordash, it's about the fact that workers would be swept off their feet. They probably started putting the drinks in the bags because there were so many orders, they'd all get mixed up.

            • @kingdingaling: Quite the contrary. I called my local Hungry Jacks and they said the afternoon rush was bad but the dinner time was as normal as yesterday. They also apologised because the drinks "dont seem to be handled well" by the drivers and other customers have also complained. So yeh… there's your answer to that

    • -8

The level of entitlement is through the roof on here. It's a bunch of only childs with Aspergers who have zero empathy for the fast food workers working overtime and delivery drivers needing to drive (in some cases) through treacherous conditions.

I got lucky with my order. They cancelled it, I asked to speak with a consultant. I was very polite, but just asked what was happening. They gave me credit. They said it was going to be $24 but it ended up being $48 (I dunno if they clicked it twice or maybe because I'd previously cancelled an order, they deliberately did it twice). So I used that to get something that I actually wanted.

      • look up the word hypocrite.

Sounds like you exploited this 10x to what I have to show for it. Please be quiet.

        • I'm not a hypocrite in anyway. I didn't criticise you for exploiting the loophole, I criticised you for complaining. See how I was polite to the consultant and I got more? You should try it.

          • @kingdingaling: I just wanted my dinner:( Can you not tell I have not eaten ?

            • @iNeed2Pee: Nor have I. My order is coming any moment now. You would've eaten if you'd just ordered normally, what did you expect with this loophole?
