Reviews on the product page seem pretty poor for this one.

    • +8

I usually ignore most of the reviews on manufacturer/store pages, because they're usually submitted by morons, but after being interested in getting one I may give it a miss.

      • I have a Fold 3, and when expanded, I found it would fall out, however, I've not had any issues when I fold it.

        • I have the same charger and Fold 3. Never had any issues. I actually love it, plus it super fast charging capability is amazing.
I only wish that it was more closer to the vent.

      • +2

At least the reviews are not like K-Mart's, all items 4 to 5 stars and 100% satisfaction, not a single negative review, could be on the Guiness book of record.

  • +3

Yeah review seems to suggest 1 month use and no warranty

    • Been using it for 4 month without any issue. As suggested above review "usually submitted by morons".

  • +2

    OOoooft those reviews. Yikes.

    Cable Length: 1000 m

    Interesting

    • +7

For those times when you're 1km away from your car but still want to charge your phone…

    • +7

Bugger, I needed one with 1.5km cable length.

      • +2

You need the dude from herogasm opening the door in "the boys"

    • Yeah I chuckled at that

    • It's true. Just stating a fact, somewhere out there a 1000 m cable would exist. Probably.

    • makes for an easy return when you realise its a POS

  • +3

I have one of these (free gift with the S22 Ultra) and I like it. Works really well with the S22 Ultra and the side arms opening and closing is cool af. 10/10 recommend at this price.

    • +5

how can you manage the 1000m cable?

      • +9

I roll the majority of it up like a fire hose, and chuck it in the boot

        • +1

Do you think it'd be okay to use as fishing line? I'm considering casting my phone out using a fish finder app and don't want to worry about it going flat.

      • Weight: 291 g

As long as you don't unroll it, it's pretty easy to manage.

  • +3

I have one that came with my S22+, highly recommend, works as described and has the option to charge wirelessly or via cable into phone whilst it is in the stand. Also one of the few phone mounts I have used that actually has decent fastening system so it doesn't wobble around whist driving.

  • Keen to try this because most vent mounted wireless chargers have spring loaded clips that produce annoying rattle sounds. Not confident about the multiple reviews regained weak mounting assembly though.

    • I found the mounting system to be great, and my car has those annoying curved vents

  • +1

    Will this charge my Tesla?

    • +8

Only if you're less than 1000 m from it.

  • +1

after reading thise reviews - no thanks

  • +2

I have this and one of the plastic legs broke, not sure if I was too tight or what. But I have other car mounts and they did not break.

It's nice to have the wireless charging capability, though I find it a bit fiddly to get it to work properly. It does charge but really slow, might have to use a 15W or 25W car charger port to go along with it.

If it's free I'd keep it but if I had to buy it I would think twice.

  • Beware, piss poor reviews. Only samsung can screw up first party accessories so bad

  • How do I charge my car with this?

    • Stick your fingers in the socket and then other hand fingers in the car while having the charger in your pocket. The light will go up indicating charging.

      • I can’t stand like that for 8 hours!

  • The reviews care pretty bad on build quality

  • +2

Have this, freebie with the S22U.

One of the legs snapped clean off. (Was totally solid till then).
So it lasted 6 weeks, Samsung couldn't care when I enquired.
Looks like a 17mm ball mount, so might look for something that fits.

  • I got this as freebie with S22U,

Super happy with it. Fast charging and so far great quality. :)

  • I can charge my car wirelessly now?

  • +1

I would be keen for this but for the reviews and my experience with Samsung support has been less than stellar in the past.
I really like their products but their support is an abomination.

  • Great! I needed a charger for my wireless car

  • +1

reviews seem terrible. would steer clear.

  • Both our cars have round vents. Wish they would accomadate round vents as well.

    • mine has round vents and usually have trouble with mounts because of this. This one works well and haven't had any issues with stability or movement of the mount/charger

    • They should make smartphones that are round with the same diameter as your vents and not rectangles

  • Looked at this more out of interest and surprised at the bad feedback given that it was designed by samsung.

Personally have this in both of our cars

works well for our Samsung S series for the last 3-4 yrs. One however does rattle if there is no phone in it whilst driving.

    • I have this as well and it's great, but it doesn't work well in landscape mode, unlike the Samsung, and it covers some of the car buttons. Samsung extends further out from the vent, which is why Im about to pull the trigger on it. The indie YouTube tests seem solid.

    • Yeah I got that as well. Doesn't hold though keeps falling off

      • +1

Ahhh I remember now. The holding prongs on the Baseus ones are quite long I guess to allow fitting to as many air vents as possible so if your air vents slats are quite short, it will fall come out due to the phone's weight. What I did for both cars was to cut a length of fishing lines, loop it around the back of the slat which the unit is clipped on, back to the front and tie it so that it can not slip. No issues ever since and it has been so long that I had forgotten about it.

Very happy with them though and I even though one of my car has AA and CP, I don't even bother plugging in the USB cord, but rather just run AA from the phone, whilst it's being recharged from the holder. Best thing is with the air cond coming out of the vent, it cools the phone down whilst running AA and being recharged.

  • will this work with Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G

  • Just saw this page and interested, until came across the feedbacks on the product page.

I have an unbranded one from taobao for my zfold3, works identical but still working unlike that Samsung one.

  • I have this after trying the no-brand 'gravity' ones and even the wireless auto clamp from Baseus which didn't charge fast enough.

I bought this for $75 delivered and i thought it was a good deal back then.

Very sturdy, the hook that goes into the vent is much better than Baseus as its rubberised and doesn't damage the vent.

It looks bulky though but i guess its to do with the ability to fast charge wirelessly.

  • Anyone know how these fit on the latest model hilux by any chance?

    • it depends on the angle of your vent… if its just a rectangular and upright (slight angle is okay) then it will be suitable.

Clip broke already used for 1 month. Guess I'll go through warranty now

  • +1

Xiaomi 20w car charger is better.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/313080230650?epid=4036544236&has…

I have this Samsung charger’s leg broke after few months and end up getting Xiaomi one. Very happy.

  • Just received it and it's charging my Pixel 6 Pro at 300 mA max. Have no issues with my current Basus wireless car charger. Does anyone else have this problem? Looks like I may have to return it.

  • Arrived today. Wireless charges my S21 through quad lock case, at 1350mA.

Mounting in the ranger is a bit…average. But I do have two 'Out There and Back' dash mounts for GME XRS handset and then the quad lock holder…so space is a bit of a premium
