10000/20000 Flybuys Points or $50/$100 off Next Shop after Targeted Amount Spend in 1 Transaction Each Week for 4 Weeks @ Coles

1580

New flybuys offer is out. Just the regular offer that comes out every 6-7 weeks.

Same scenario as previous deals. Activation required.

Spend $50 in one transaction in-store or online at Coles each week for 4 weeks.

In my case the weekly spend is $50 for 10,000 points. Others will have varying spend and points amounts dependent on spend history.

Week 1 of 4 is 10 days long, from Friday 8 July 2022 to Sunday 17 July 2022.

Further terms and conditions are available when you activate the offer.

          • @Coops1: 12 weeks straight and both acc went dry last week.

          • @Coops1: can u pls elaborate further…do we need 2 separate FB accounts for this?

        • Coz minimum $50 spend that most bargainers cant do. Barely any replies here.

They keep trying to get me to shop at a Coles futher away than my usual.
When they only offer deals to shop further away than my usual I SHOP AT WOOLIES INSTEAD.
Hopefully a flybuys rep sees that 🙂

    • +1

I have never seen these types of deals limited to a particular suburb……. Only if it’s a new or closing one.

      • I used to, not too much anymore

    • +1

Me too. They want me to go to Oakleigh when I usually go to Tooronga (Melbourne). No idea why as when I went to Oakleigh it was much busier than Tooronga. But I found a nice bakery so winning.

    • +1

I also received few emails (different weeks) to shop at a particular suburb to earn 2000 points. After activated, checked my Flybuys app, it didn’t ask me to shop at that suburb to qualify, nor did it mention that suburb in the email’s fine prints, so I shopped at a closer by coles and got 2000 points. Received 2x 2000 points in the last few weeks already.

      • Yes, I later realised this too. Quite strange.

  • 10k for $50x4.
This is the 3rd time (same amount on offer) from
Mar, May and July. I had achieved the last 2 offers but Coles keep giving me this.

  • $110x4, not the greatest but the weekly shop should fill that quota. I was able to activate it tonight for what its worth.

  • In the email I chose "choose dollars" and flybuys kept saying there was a glitch until I chose "choose 10,000 points". Oh well, 2000 points equal a $10 discount each.

    • +1

You are lucky. Points are better see comment above.

Last time I activated this offer I didn’t do a shop on the first week, but then every week that followed I got spend $170 and get 8400 points. I kept getting this offer every week for about 4 weeks.

    • Strange I have several accounts and usually do this offer on 2 at the same time. The other accounts do not keep repeating. They all then come up a couple of weeks after the previous offer was completed,

      • I ended up claiming 3 weeks in a row but didn’t do the last one and now I get this promo again but my spend is $180.
Kinda happy to see if I get the same thing.

        • Why'd you miss the 4th week?

  • $130 for 4 weeks for 10K here. $20 for 4 weeks for 6K baby products. We shop at Coles weekly.

  • I struggle to spend $50 on groceries in one hit. I stock up on cheese, milk powder, and coffee in the first week, but what else is there to buy in weeks 2, 3 and 4?

In weeks 3 and 4 I sometimes find myself searching through Coles for something to buy. There is only so much stuff I can buy before the stockpile is overflowing and there's a risk I won't use it before the Best Before date, even if that's 6+ months away.

It doesn't help that many product lines at Coles have empty shelves.

Coles 3 ply toilet tissue. You'll always need more.
$4.7 Coles canned pink salmon (415g).
      Nuts.
      Frozen veggies.
      Mince (and freeze it).

    • +1

Meat. I guess if you don't buy that it might not be easy. Then again I spend close to 50 a week just on snacks.

  • I got 10000 points for $60 spend 4 weeks. Not good

    • +1

      That's 20.8%. Not bad.

    • +1

What do you consider good? 60 is one of the better targets..

  • mine must be the worst - 10k points or $50 for $180(!) x 4

  • If using flybuys dollars to pay, does the shop still qualify?

    • +1

      Yes.

  • +1

Is anybody else having problems redeeming points to put on card? I've tried with mine and partners, but when I click redeem… the little dots just jiggle and nothing happens?

    • yes!!!

for over a month now! have tried multiple browsers on desktop and the app on android and no luck…on 2 accounts as well
it is well and truly broken…many others reporting the same issues
we might have to start athread in the forums and see if we can solve this….its becoming a real issue

      • +1

I did it not long ago. Update App to the lastest version?

        • updated the app on android this morning actually
….trying to sign in atm and ive got a blank white screen….their website & app are a joke!

          • +1

@franco cozzo: I placed an online order paying with FlyPay as I couldn’t redeem points to use in store. It was ‘auto cancelled’ last night due to a ‘payment problem’ even though I have tons of points and no issues with the card. Live Chat could not say why it was cancelled. Their systems seem to be falling over everywhere. Painful to shop there.

  • Question:
Does the purchase of gift cards count towards the $50/$60/$70 etc weekly spend required?

    • it says it excludes purchase of gift cards in the full tncs.

  • does anyone know if I can pay for my order using gift cards I already have? or does it have to be cash/card?

    • +1

I always use the paper e-gift cards and I get the points.

  • 4x 70$.

But I'm sus, last time I spent 50$, then they removed the flybuys offer from my acc 🤦‍♂️

    • It disappears on a Sunday and comes back later in the week for the 4 week promo

  • +1

Can flybuy dollars be used for purchasing in a deal like this?

    • +2

      Yes, it works for me.

      • do you know if that is also applicable for redeeming flybuys points via flypay ?

  • Gave up on these since I have to spend nearly $300 to get 20K points…

    • +2

Don’t scan your flybuys card for the next month or 2. You might miss out on $10 worth of points, but your offer spends will likely reduce dramatically. Points only multiply from bonus offers, not a weekly $200 spend with no bonus incentive.

      • That is so wrong.

        • Points only multiply from bonus offers, not a weekly $200 spend with no bonus incentive

          Pretty accurate.

      • I agree, only maybe 5% of my points come from the actual spend.

        • Also agree but scanning card , at least in my, case makes no difference at all to the bonus offers so why not pick up the extra?

          • +1

@IanC: From previous experience… having multiple cards and rotating usage, you get more frequent offers with lower spend targets on the idle cards.

            • @randomusername2017: Fair enough..all I can say that is I have one card only and continue to receive the 4 $50 offers every time they occur

despite scanning all the time including the $250 gift card promos.

  • Anybody know a how many bad weeks I need to bring down my avg ?
    ie is it measured over 6 months ? I'm 4 x 250 for 20K… blech thats a rip i was 230 for 9700 one shop

    • +1

Having multiple memberships is the way.

  • $4 x $80 for me for 10,000 pts/$50 …you want me to spend more but I'm still waiting for my last 10,000 pts from the last offer and still waiting for a response on my missing 10,000pts!

  • My Coles account has a Flybuys card linked with the 10000 points deal. Would I be able pay via flypay using points on a different Flybuys card (no deal on that card). I'm just wondering if the shop will register to the Flybuys account on the Coles account or the one on the flypay account? I am pretty sure it's the former but I'm just seeing if anyone has experience with this.

  • So um I just received an offer of 1.2k for $30 spend. Is this a new offer? I haven't seen an offer from Coles below $50.

    • Coops mentioned one on the previous page. People have mentioned $40 per week x 4 offers before but certainly much rarer than $50. I usually get 1000 or 2000 points for a $50 spent.

    • +1

I received this today for the second time over the last week… makes 3 in a row for this offer!

  • Has anyone tried to use flypay recently? I just tried signing up but it looks like I have to add a CC, and there's no options to use flybuy dollars to pay? What's the point of this stupid flypay then?

    • It works quite well in practice. They want the CC because the final total often varies and you might not have the points. I’m finding it impossible to redeem points to add to my card currently so FlyPay is my only option 🙁

      • They also need the CC because points can only be redeemed in 2000 amounts so anything over eg. $1.43 is charged to the CC card. Yes works well.
I have had a problem where I unattached my Flybuys number and then it would not allow me to reenter it. It states it was still attached. I contacted them and they said to try another browser/device and clear cookies ( the new switch it off at the plug) but I did all that and still will not work. Can anyone help?

    • Do you know if i redeem flybuys points via flypay and place an online order will I be eligible for the $X spend offer(I also have the bonus 1000 points offer if I do an online order, so trying to double dip). As I am unable to use Gift card online, keen to redeem flybuys points via flypay.

      • The payment method (flypay) does not impact earning of points. See also if you have a 1-week offer that you can use on the first week of the offer. They will not send anymore once they know you are committed to shopping with them. If you pick up a click and collect on Tue or Fri afternoon and also activate the next 3 days' one shop offer you may be able to double up on that as well.

        • Thanks for the tip.
Just confirming payment method(flypay) and also redeeming flybuys points worth $50 in that transaction will still make me eligible for the first week spend ?

          • +1
            • @Yola: Love it, thank you very much.

              • @SydOzber: I can see you are a worrier like me so from Google.

Do I earn flybuys points when I use flypay? Yes. Just add your flybuys number to your flypay account to collect points on all qualifying purchases.
                Flypay | Coleshttps://www.coles.com.au › about-coles › flypay

                • @Yola: I know this, but I wanted to confirm if i "Redeem" my points. Say I purchase $54 worth of groceries and redeem 10000 points for $50 and pay the balance $4 using credit card.

For this offer, will my spend amount be (a) $54 or (b) $4.
The T&C on the offer say - To collect 10,000 bonus points, $50 or more must be spent in one transaction, after all savings, discounts and vouchers in each week for 4 consecutive weeks.

Will the $50 redemption be considered as Savings/Discounts ?

                  • @SydOzber: This happens all the time. Just last week my invoice stated

                    30 items total
                    Item(s) Total:
                    Delivery/Collection Fee:
                    $
                    Payment Total:
                    $54.03
                    GST included in total:
                    $0
                    Flybuys points redemption
                    $50.00
                    Flybuys points 10,000
                    flypay
                    $4.03

So you can see the payment total is $54.03. Anyway, it would not matter if it was $50 as that meets the conditions. The only problem is if items are OOS and then you have to email them. And it is just a hassle you still get the points. I have done this many times and received bonuses.

                    • @Yola: Thanks for confirming

                    • @Yola: This happened to me today. Redeemed points and another 7c on the CC but now there’s an item out of stock. Where do I email to get the points back? Or should I call flybuys?

                      • +1

@macr0hard: I much prefer emailing. There are long waits at the call center. If your shortfall is large they will ask you to email the invoice anyway. Sometimes things go wrong and you have to follow up which is a lot easier when you can just send the email again.
I have done this so often that it's proforma.
Include name and Flybuy number in subject.
State the date of the email offer and its conditions - cut and past.
State time and date of activation and attach proof usually an sc, or mention the invoice shows I have started the 4-week offer if applicable. This is because I have had them say I did not active and had to tell them the time and date.
State how many points need to be credited and the reason I believe they were not and attach a copy of the invoice.
They just need to go tick and tick. 100% success rate from over 20 emails.
                        [email protected]

                        • -1

@Yola: Does anyone know email for woolworths rewards? The chat line is ridiculous, doesn’t go anywhere for last two days.

                        • @Yola: for offers like these, where its over 4 weeks to get the points.. will they just tick or manually override for week 1 and the points will come through automatically or we need to shop for all 4 weeks with whatever the minimum spend is and then raise it via email ?

                          • +1

@SydOzber: If an item is OOS in the first week and you do not reach the required spend Flybuys thinks you are not doing the offer. This can work out quite well as they will keep offering you weekly spend deals and as long as you meet their spend limit you can stack.
There is no manual override. When you finish the 4 weeks you will not get the bonus points, except for the 1-week offers if you have met their limit. You then need to email them with the info I detailed above.
I email about the 4-week points first and then when I receive those I email about any 1-week offer bonus points I may not have received, best not to confuse them.

                        • +1

@Yola: Thanks, you’re a legend! Should I wait until all 4 weeks finish and do all in 1 go or start each week if there’s OOS? And how long is the wait before they get back to you?

                          • +1

                            @macr0hard: Thank you.
You will receive an auto acknowledgment immediately and they state they respond in 5 working days and I received a reply in that time frame just yesterday.
                            Also see the answer above.

I activated the spend $90 a week for 4 weeks and earn $50 /10,000 points and now it's not showing on my flybys account. Did I get conned or will it come up again tomorrow for start of week 2?

    • +2

Regularly disappears for some, might come back in week 3.If you have met your spend all is good. Piece of mind is keeping receipts for evidence.

    • It's disappeared for me too, though I had qualified for week 1. There's a transaction history buried deep within the flybuys site somewhere (and half the time the page just fail to load), but it should show at least if you registered the previous shop (and presumably the offer was activated, but now I have doubts, but I'm 99.999% sure that I did).

      • +1

I keep a sc of the activation. Helps if you do not get the bonus.

  • For the people with staff discount - does anyone know if the spend is triggered before the discount? Or the final price?

    • +1

      The final price

Had a $7 refund on my online C&C order today.
Took me under the $50 limit, looks like I'll have to follow up with memberhelp to make sure I get the points

Apparently there was no substitute options for chicken kievs

    • +1

One time I had OOS on eggs for delivery. No eggs in the whole store? Same order 1 kg Coles peas OOS. No 1 kg peas in store or 2 x 500g?
I can understand no option for kievs more than those.

Anyone able to see this promo in their app after spending on week1? I met the requirement for week 1 ($60), but the promo has disappeared from my account

    • Back Midday on Wednesday. It does not affect you shop before that.

I spent qualifying amount in weeks 1 2 and 3, promo now appears in the offers just for you instead of the activated offers.
Something weird as the offer did not show on on my receipt today (week 3) after showing on the receipt in weeks 1 and 2
Anyway I'll do the $50 again in week 4 and get onto them if the10k points do not materialise

  • I can't see alcohol being listed as an excluded purchase so I just want to check with the community can I buy $50 worth of alcohol this week (after discounts - there is a 20% off code available) and still qualify for the bonus points?
