  • Love the look of panda watches.

My fav is the Orient Neo 70, wonder if this is the same mecha quartz movement?

  • The Seiko Daytona!

Apple Watch. But yeah you gotta charge it almost every day

I think spending $800+ on a Seiko is pushing it.

I'd be looking at new Tissot's or secondhand Oris' at this level

      Here we go…

        Fight me

        • Yeah agree Drakesy. If we're not talking manual/auto watch vs quartz but just comparison of same mechanical movement types, then for similar prices, I'd definately try and get a Swiss made Tissot watch. Most people here probably watched youtube reviews before buying their watch and even on there, its the opinion that a lot of the higher costing Seiko's over $1000 with some exceptions, aren't really any different in performance to the usual lower end and hard to justify.

      Tissot LOL

      okay mate.

Might as well say get a Tag Heuer over a Grand Seiko.

      • +7

Nah Grand Seiko over Tag Heuer anyday.

Bit of a meh take - there's plenty of seikos I would spend/have spent 800 or more dollars on despite having other significantly more expensive watches.

My SPB143J being one such example.

      • Admittedly hat is a nice looking watch, but i'd still go an Oris for that kind of money.

      • 62 Mas…its overpriced because of the hype like how Seiko 5 GMT is going for $800.

    • Hmmmm I love my watches but I don't rank Tissot higher than Seiko. Oris is definitely better though.
I own a Tissot quartz watch but own 4 seikos they have a superior movement the moment you switch to a 6r series

  • Cheaper than a fiat panda!

I bought one from Starbuy last week when it came back into stock for a few hours for $735. Great watch, love it.
If you're prepared to sign up for notifications for when it comes back into stock and wait, you might be able to pick it up at the same price from Starbuy.

    • Spot on, let's get it down closer to the all time low!

      • it’s one i’ve been saving coins for but am waiting for starbuy to do a killer deal for daily deal or weekend flash sale …. 20% off isn’t very exciting for a seiko ….

  • Damn I want this!

  • Perfect case size

  • SSC819P $735:00 - same but black at Watsons?
    https://watsonsjewellers.com.au/products/seiko-prospex-speed…

    • Other colour variants have been cheaper and more readily available. The main draw here is the distinct panda look of the white dial variant.
