      Every time this deal comes up it includes this term and every time we buy gift cards in store and get paid.

      The Myer Online gift card store is a different website/merchant to Myer and will not pay out for gift card purchases but if you use an in store til AmEx can't tell the difference between you buying a gift card or perfume or kitchenware or anything else sold at Myer. They will only know where and how much you spent.

    Good deal to stack with the 17% cashback offers on CR or SB lately. If you buy gift cards then i find that usually it won’t stack with the cashback deals.

          You can find them on display near the Payment counters on each floor. I got one from Level 2 Payment Counter at around 5pm today

      I’m assuming you’re asking whether you will get cashback from AMEX through this deal if you purchase Myer gift cards online?

      Purchasing a Myer gift card through Myer’s gift card website will not work with this offer.

      You can only purchase Myer gift cards online directly from Myer at https://retail.myergiftcards.com.au, which is a different website to the regular Myer website (https://www.myer.com.au). The only website permitted in this deal is https://www.myer.com.au and the payment process is different for both websites, so AMEX can tell whether you spent money at the Myer website (which is okay for this deal) or at Myer’s gift card website (which is not okay for this deal).

      There have been previous cases of people purchasing Myer gift cards through the Myer gift cards website during previous Myer/AMEX deals, but AMEX refused to pay out cashback, because:

      • The purchase of gift cards was not completed on https://www.myer.com.au, and

      • The purchase of gift cards was listed as an explicit exclusion in the AMEX deal (just like this current deal).

        Purchased around 10:30am and email came through around 4:00pm. Can't recall a delay like that before. Usually they either come straight away or not at all.

    Anyone had a delay in receiving their cashback? Bought gift cards in store on July 21. Got the email the same day confirming the offer spend. Still haven’t received the statement credit?? I know it says in the terms and conditions it can take a while, but it never has in the past.

      I wasn’t targeted with this deal, so I cannot comment on my experience with this deal.

      However, with the recent Ampol / AMEX cashback deal, cashback took 14 days to be credited to my account.
