  • Xbox 1 controller works with Seriess X ?

    • +2

      Yes.

  • Anyone wants to swap a ps5 controller for Xbox?

  • +2

    Thanks OP.

Didn’t need a second controller but can’t beat it at this price.

Here I go back looking for deals on stuff I don’t need :D

very noob here, can i play xbox games on my win10 pc (just built a 3070ti amd tower) with this controller?
if yes do i need to buy usb receiver? my build has wifi and bluetooth

    • +3

You won't need the wireless dongle if you have bluetooth, but personally I go with the dongle whenever I can to reduce input lag.

      • +3

I agree. The bluetooth works, but the dongle feels superior, doesnt have drop outs like my bluetooth weirdly does occasionally

      • thanks :) what abou the 1st question I had?

        • +2

You sure can. Its actually the best to, cos most games are mapped to xbox controller buttons on pc. Also good for pc xbox gamepass.
See how the bluetooth works for you - you can always get a dongle later.

@RI4V4N: I see, thanks for the info. On the waitlist to get one now. Also wondering why would people buy xbox console then if they can already play games on their pc?

            • +2

              @fan8956: Cost!

            • +1

@fan8956: The Xbox console is great cost wise for the power you get.

Also if you play gamepass on PC. Playing on ur tv or streaming to your phone it is all cross save - so you can play where you want.

              • +1

@RI4V4N: Also not all Xbox game available on PC.

                • @superforever: Most are. Any new first party exclusive from the last 2-3 years and onwards will be too.

                  Only really old ones aren't.

      • I agree. go for the dongle

They appear to be sold out almost everywhere, I had to get mine from the MS store

    • +1

As an added bonus, it can also work as a wired controller (without batteries inside) - just connect a USB C cable to the PC.

How convenient, cashrewards/shopback have 0% on this category…

  • +4

4-6pm cashrewards will have 14% back on all categories but by then there might not be any stock left.

Thanks OP, got one from the waitlist.

Has anyone had any drifting issues with a series X controller? I got a black one from Telstra rewards a few months back and the right stick appears to be drifting up slightly now and then… I have three older Xbox one controllers with no issues (including a Day one controller lol, but it's bumpers are horribly spongy).

I just recalibrated and then reset it via windows so I'll see how it goes… Might have to hassle MS if it doesn't fix it. Here I was thinking joy cons were the only victim!

    • I'd get it replaced with MS.

      • Yeah I haven't used it since resetting it this morning, but if it does it again I'll contact them. Might try updating it again via console too first. I know the kids were playing last time they updated wondering if maybe they were messing with the sticks when it was updating and screwed the dead zone or something. Idk.
