Another great deal on the ever popular ThinkPad E Series. 5625u also available for $1009 however personally recommend spending the extra $30 for the 5825u CPU.

E15 Gen 4 also available for $1059 (5825u CPU) or $1009 (5625u CPU).

Delivery varies either within 2 weeks up to Ship by Mid August depending on model & CPU combo. 1 year Premier onsite warranty included on all models & triple rewards ($70-$73) if you have signed up to MyLenovo rewards!

Personally have never had issues with cashback using a flash code like these in the past. Maybe someone who does a purchase this time can confirm if it tracks or not?

I've just bought the $1039 Laptop and can confirm that I've received an email from Shopback stating that I have a pending cashback of $129.88 on my account.

This means nothing as they usually just deny your cashback two months later if you use a code.

14 inch ThinkPad's are the perfect size, I have the E14 2019 & I love it's form factor. These specs for this price and the quality of the ThinkPad is an easy buy IMO, the 5825U is also more than acceptable for budget gaming. It's the iGPU in the AYANEO NEXT Pro.

With FSR 2.0, the 5825U may get better with age.

    i've bought 2x E14 Gen2s, an E495 and E570 and they've all been fabulous devices (i think i talked about 5 friends/family into the E495 too)

this is a solid price, i'm trying to justify buying one for work :D

  • Ryzen 7 vs Ryzen 5?

    Is there any practical difference?

    • +1

      Normally 8c/16t vs 6c/12t.

  • Good deal. Bought the e15 with 5825U and 8gb ram and 256gb ssd for $951 in the late June Edu store sale. The above deal upgrades the ram and ssd for just $108 on top of what I paid, and you can get cash-back.
My order is currently on route from China, so too late for me to cancel.

Is there a difference in the screen quality between the two configs? 5825U has 45%NTSC against it whereas 5625u does not? Could someone who knows panels please confirm? Thanks

  • Is it easy to upgrade ram?

I'm looking for a work station, but also potentially to do music production.

So faster CPU, and more ram would be beneficial.

I won't be doing any gaming.

Very easy. Just pop off bottom cover and you can upgrade the 8gb SO-DIMM stick it comes with up to a 32gb stick (40gb total as 8gb is soldered). I've upgraded some E15's at work with the configuration above and they work well.

  • This machine or the Ideapad 5 Pro 14" ?

Design wise I think the ideapad does look nicer but the price for the e14 is also a good thing

IdeaPad has a higher resolution screen and port selection. ThinkPad would be better build quality, better keyboard, can upgrade the RAM and has a more powerful CPU + better Premier support. Depends what you'd prefer.

      • thank you, i might have to go with the thinkpad then.
