I use one of these every week for supermarket shopping. With an extra basket (https://www.amazon.com.au/XCART-X-Cart-Folding-Crate/dp/B08D…) it fits a weekly shop for a family of four. Load up the baskets at the checkout (or the packing shelf at aldi) and wheel it home. Baskets can be taken into the kitchen for unpacking then folded up and stored away.

Product dimensions: 100D x 60W x 107H centimetres
Material: Aluminium
Item weight: 10.2 Kilograms

IMPROVED VERSION, NOW BIGGER, STRONGER AND BETTER

The top platform can be folded back to allow larger items to be transported if required. A robust foot pedal brake allows the X-Cart to be locked in position whilst loading or unloading.

You must have some perfectly flat pavements where you live to be able to wheel this home.
The wheels look a bit too small.

A few rattles and bumps but it makes it.

  • $200 for my own shopping trolley? Sounds steep.

Any ozbargainers have a more affordable option they recommend?

      Take a Coles/Woolies trolley

      The wife.

Would have thought having a wife is an even more expensive option.

        • +3

Nah I already have her so best to keep her productive. I see it as saving me on the cost of this trolley so works both ways. Plus she can multitask unlike the trolley.

      • +2

This is a bargain compared to a wife

Just think of the fuel savings. At $2 a litre and living 800m from the supermarket, mine will pay for itself in a mere 16 years.

  • I got $1 trolley from coles with lifetime unlimited replacements. Pretty happy with it

  • +2

it fits a weekly sthop for a family of four.

Only if your family is on a hunger strike.

Even with amazin Tetris skills, this trolley would be insufficient for our weekly shop.

    • oops

  • I grab one of the empty chicken boxes from Aldi and put it in the bottom of the grocery cart. Fun Tetris game at the checkout getting them all back into the box.

Then you just load the one (or two) boxes into the car, then carry them into the kitchen when home. No stuffing about with bags and what not, and put the boxes in recycling when done.

    Free and easy

      That's a bit fowl…

  • A trolley from your shopping centre is cheaper

    • As evidenced by all of the trolleys on my walk from here to my local shopping centre.

I can say from experience this is a good purchase if you live near the shops.
No more touching gross handles, no more annoying wheel that doesn't turn, no more forgot my coins from the car
Smaller and easier to maneuver when people block the aisles
and finally, getting all the attention from other shoppers who whisper, ''that's a good idea, we should get one''

  • Do ppl use this within their warehouse for picking orders for shipping?

I see the woolies staff using something like this for their click and collect orders

  • Now I've seen it all.

Your very own shopping trolley. Why use the free ones in store, when you can buy your very own for $200?!
