Got to be a pricing error - its a $800+ kit
They are just clearing it. I wonder if I saw it the other day when we were at Ipswich. I don't remember what the price was but I think they were clearing it there maybe? My head wasn't screwed on correctly and I already have a kit from an earlier deal so I didn't really look at it closely. Maybe I missed out on a killer deal, but I wouldn't have been alive to enjoy it. My wife definitely wouldn't have let me leave the store alive with it.
I'm guessing a new kit or combo is coming and they have to clear the old ones before selling the new offer.
Also the .97 in the price and the plus symbol are both costco codes for clearance items etc.
I just appreciate the comment about the wife. Simple solution, go without her.

Actually I've seen this price at Costco on Tuesday last week but didn't took a good picture of it and I thought that I'll return and take another one but I only got there yesterday. in all those days as far as I remember I don't think they sold a single one, the stack looked the same. Also the previous price was little under $500.
It's a good deal at $300 I think, but over $600 I'm not so sure, I mean the Sds with a battery and charger is around $300 at Sydney tools.
Anyone know if there is any still available and if they would put one a side for me to pickup?

Anyone near Ipswich costco can confirm the deal is available there that would be much appreciated.
I went to Ipswich and showed them this deal. They matched it but it was a once only deal. North Lakes were apparently matching a local retailer so not a general deal. I just got very lucky.
Another guy followed me through with a lot. He thought the 499 deal was great, saw my 299 deal and got excited. When they declined the 299 deal for him he didn't buy the kit at all. People are funny things…

In Ipswich at least - no, all normal. Like I said, the North Lake deal was very store specific. Interesting just the same.
@ScottTheFalcon: I understand that it was actually a pricing error at North Lakes rather than an intentional clearance.
@jdr: I was just at Ipswich today. They were actually clearing a few items in the hardware section including the Dewalt DCK369M3T, just not for $299.97. They were clearing it for $499.97.
@ScotttheFalcon, just FYI, anything at Costco with 97c in the price means they are clearing the item. Sometimes, they try to clear it and it still doesn't sell and they drop the price again, with 96c in the price. I'm pretty sure that's how they work. If you look at the last chance items on their website everything ends with 97/96c. You'll see it instore too.
