      And $1.90 off with S&S

    • It was $14.70 or $13.26 with s&s, 2 days ago, interestingly only went up when good guys did them for this price!

      • -2

That was the Prime Day pricing.

        • -1

No it wasn't, I bought it over the weekend.

  • are these worth the premium compared to ikea batteries?

    • +2

      You must be new here.

    • +1

i'm not too sure myself. i read elsewhere that they're basically the same underneath the brand wrapping.

the eneloop pros at the aaa size that typically go for around $18 on sale price are higher capacity though and are probably worth it for that.

    • +1

Yes. These are the best balance between capacity (2000 mAh) and charge cycles (2100). The only thing the IKEA ones have on this is price, which isn't really that much. I'd rather have 2100 cycles vs 500 cycles.

      • +4

I'd rather have 2100 cycles vs 500 cycles.

If you recharge the batteries once a week, it will take you 40 years to reach 2100 cycles. The batteries will probably go rusty before then.

Unless you're recharging batteries once a week or even more frequently, 2100 cycles isn't going to be noticably different to 500 cycles.

our kids' kids will remember us buy the eneloops

        • Depends on what devices you're using them on and your capacity requirements. If you're draining a set a few times a week, that's quite different.

          • +2

@happychappy1: most importantly a smart charger that actually shuts down as soon as battery reaches capacity

your enoloops will be lucky to last 500 cycles with the average charger

      Same battery. Same factory.

      • +1

Except in Gotham, where they are sold as batbatteries.

Only reason to buy here is to use your $20 store credit. Note that like 1 week ago, they were $27…

    • +1

My credit expired today, luckily I used it on the Eneloops on the weekend :)

  • Which charger would you recommend?

    • LiitoKala Lii-500 or similar

there is probably a newer model these days

don't cheap out on the charger, need ones that are capable of measuring capacity and that will auto shutoff otherwise you'll kill them a little every time you overcharge them

  • They're discounted on eBay at the moment as well.

  • Where can i buy the quick charger for this?
