Good price 4K - IPS, 144Hz for PC and 120 Hz for consoles- HDMI
Back blue led is not configurable - always on.

Are you sure, I have the 1440p version of this monitor and you can turn the blue light off in the menus.

      • +2

He meant, it can not be configured for effects or Color change

        • I have this monitor and there isn't an option to turn the blue light off.

          • @bkt: Indeed, unless you are a twitch streamer this is a annoying feature after the first week and best if it gave the ability to turn it off, but not available in the menus or software. Unless there is a firmware update that can allow for it.

            • @pbaz: Hey. In case you didn't know, Dell has released a firmware update to turn the light off :)

  • I think the Gigabyte M32U is at a similar price now.

    • You reckon the Gigabyte is better?

Seems both monitors don't have great contrast or HDR performance. I wonder why they all seem to suck at it.

There is no such IPS panel. It just doesn’t exist. Limitations of the IPS technology. These 2 are as good as it gets right now. (For a reasonable price)

VA -on paper- do a better job but really would not recommend as a ‘monitor’ where you look at them close by/ use them on a desk. Okay if it’s far from your face and wall mounted, like a TV.

Mini-led is also basically impossible to find at monitor size and very expensive, so is oled.

Not sure if it's better, I just got the M28U and for the PS5 it is amazing. Just so good that HDMI 2.1 monitors are coming down

The King of monitor/tv reviews did a detailed review of these: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/g3223q

I was really tempted until I saw the contrast and HDR performance :(

    • I'm sure it would still be a massive upgrade over what I'm using at the moment. And I'm wondering if it's worth holding out for the S3422DWG to go on sale again.

Yeah it's still an awesome monitor, I'm just not sure I could handle going from OLED to not having pure blacks again … I'm spoiled lol. If you don't do a lot of gaming in the dark it's probably fine.

        • Second that… I had this on release, was very happy and still have it in storage for second monitor…. I upgraded to OLED FO48U. Though I am still trying to figure it out to place FO48U on my table 😂

      • Mood, my 2009 lg monitor has horrible contrast, hdr and viewing angles

      • It’s on sale again now for 549.04

        • I ended up buying this one. After all my overthinking and reading reviews, this is such an improvement over what I was using before I'm pretty blown away. I had an old ultrawide Samsung 60hz something. I do miss the wider screen a little but the rest of the improvements more than make up for it.

This stacks with the 7% coupon available here bringing the price down to $836.44

  • Would this screen be good for working computer? Or do you guys have any other recommendation?

    • Yeah! Ofcourse. But you may also get 4K monitor cheaper than this if it’s only for work… and no or just casual gaming

      • Do you have any recommendations?

          S3221QS I work and game on this. It's great. It's a 60hz panel but I don't play 120hz games anyway.

        • +1

as mentioned below…S3221QS,,often comes between 450-500…during these deals. Its a VA panel and curved..but for your use case i dont think it will make much difference. Though being curved you may take day or 2 adjust your view…but after that you will start loving it :)

  • Has anyone changed from ozb's fav Xiaomi 34" to this? Keen on opinions. I have a PC that can run 4k so that box is ticked.
