There are so many sheepskin boots out there claiming to be 100% Australian Made. How can you tell one authentic boot from the rest?
What to ask your retailer when buying your sheepskin products.
Where are your skins from?
Where are they processed?
Are the boots hand cut, hand stitched, hand glued in Australia?
Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.
All UGG Australia® products are 100% Australian made at our factory and ecologically processed at our Roman Tannery in Laverton North, Melbourne.

    poor quality.

returning my previous order from a few days ago.

We didn’t have a deal on them a few days ago?

Can you please update with your order number, therefore we can solve this issue?
      Thank you 😊

I am not sure about the quality of this for wear and tear. Got a pair for wifey in April and the wool lining at the heel is completely bald/bare now. Maybe is just a bad batch?

    • Can you please update with your order number, therefore we can contact you? Thank you

    • +3

Yea my ones lasted a year before the lining came up. I guess it makes sense, because of the price

  • +3

Same issue as others, purchased 2 pairs for $31/each in April and the lining has completely flattened/bald/bare under the foot.

    • Is that not meant to happen? Same thing happened with mine I bought a few years ago and figured it was normal. They're still holding up other than that.

      • It’s 100% REAL Merino Cross Sheepskin, therefore yes eventually the heel contact with the Skin, the hair eventually will wear away however it shouldn’t be so quickly…

  • +3

Ordered two different pairs and received two different brands, have returned them based on seeing the negative comments about quality. Some think the soles are made in China.

  • +2

I got three pairs to take to Thailand for the wifes family last week. No box, just packed in a bag. Lucky they were so cheap. Thinking of returning them but we are off quite soon and cannot be bothered purchasing alternatives. Wont buy them again. I should have read the reviews

    • We didn’t have a deal on them last week;
      I think you’re thinking about a different UGG company;
Did you purchase from UGG express?
Because we are UGG Australia 🇦🇺

But you did have the same deal like almost every month..? March, April and June? Ranging from $37…?

        • -1

We offer consistent deals on Ozbargain to give
“New Ozbargainers” the same chance on the Deals…

      • Order number #72973
        They were yours

        • Ok so they were the Ian Scuff Black , would you like to return them?

          • @UGGAustraliaOfficial: Like i said, we are off overseas so we will give them to the people and they were cheap and they look like an aussie gift but If i had paid the "full" price they would be coming back quicker than a 2nd bout of covid We wont get anymore. Lets hope they last longer than what is mentioned on here.

  • clearly some branding issues here, maybe setup another company with a more original name to separate you from the 50 other ugg companies.

    • +2

You’re 100% Correct, it’s hard competing against all these Chinese Made UGG companies, they saturate the market with synthetic made products and then price/ product dump wherever they can..

      • boots I had purchased, after four months of indoor use
        https://imgbb.com/1R9tzQ3

it’s hard competing against all these Chinese Made UGG companies

perhaps if the focus was more on improving the quality of your product, rather than the quantity, you would have to worry less about chinese made ugg companies?

  • We encourage all customers to do some research when looking to purchase any brand of UGG Boots.

    ok, will try

Contact details - If you can't find the business address or contact number of the business you have purchased boots from, who will help you with customer issues.

can't find a contact number on your website (unless I was having a boy look); if thing were to go wrong, how can one speak to a real person?

Ask for the address of manufacturer

where are the soles of your boots manufactured?
    what is their manufacturer's address?

There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

my six time asking the same question
perhaps today is my lucky day :)

docians not at all, we find it weird how you ordered 2 x Kangaroo Rugs back in October last year which we refunded you for both, however you’re commenting on our Boots and Slippers and still following our deals every week?
Some people would believe that’s Trolling 101 🤷‍♂️

      • +3

How about you answer docians questions? Ozbargain seems to be tiring of your deals from these over inflated uggs that consistently get poor reviews.
        Will you answer docians questions???

        • No sole producers in Australia, therefore sole units are purchased overseas;

All our Sheepskins are from Tasmania and tanned processed in the Last Sheepskin Tannery in Australia-

All other competitors need to send their sheepskin overseas to be tanned and many are even pre cut before sending back to Australia to be stitched; therefore they can put the Australian made tag on.

Our UGG boot itself is 100% Australian made and manufactured in Victoria- our Company is Australian Owned and as well supporting Australian Farmers and 60 Australian employees:

Contact us via email or here on Ozbargain , we are very quick to respond -

Our phone lines were switched off because we were getting about 1000 calls per day, as there is so many different UGG brands , consumers get confused and call us.

All raw materials, freight and all costings have increased; it’s not inflated pricing..

Purchased 4 sets of the Black Ian scuff from the last deal for family members for $124 delivered - they are fine. No complaints from my household.

I don't care if they did not come in a box. I don't care about the black colour/shade.

    I do care that I'm not purchasing mass-produced clones/synthetic-fakes from kmart/target.

For $30 - if they hold up for a couple of years and don't fall apart that will be a win.

    • Thank you 🙏

    • +2

For $30 - if they hold up for a couple of years and don't fall apart that will be a win.

wonder if you would feel the same way, if they fell apart after a couple of months instead a couple of years

that is what happened to my boots
for nearly $60 they fell apart after just four months

for a claimed RRP of $165, one should expect better quality

from the pictures, to my untrained eye it was a defect in the stitching at the seam
the icing on the cake, was the store rep blaming the sheep for having defective wool :)

  • +1

Bought some men’s UGG boots from these guys on a previous OzB deal a while ago and they were terrible quality and went downhill very quickly. Sent them and email and no response. I didn’t have the time or energy to pursue it. It has certainly cured me of ever buying any UGG boots again. Nothing wrong with traditional slippers. Along with a pipe and a paper :)

  • Our phone lines were switched off because we were getting about 1000 calls per day,

are you sure they were not all your own disgruntled customers?

as there is so many different UGG brands , consumers get confused and call us

funny how other ugg manufacturers don't have similar issues and happily list their contact number on their websites

    eg
    https://www.australianuggboots.com.au/en-au/company/about-us TEL: (03) 9580-9696 Victoria

    https://www.uggsince1974.com.au/pages/contact-us Phone: +61 (07) 5520 4066 Queensland

    https://aussieuggs.com/pages/contact +61 2 6924 2885 NSW

but yes easier to shift the blame on confused customers

like when my boots ripped you had blamed the sheep for giving poor quality wool!

    • -1

      We offered you a refund or a new pair on the ripped pair https://imgbb.com/1R9tzQ3 and you still denied both or accepting;

You then decided to buy 2 x Kangaroo Skin Rugs off our company after all this in October last year and we again refunded you for both those as well…

And now you’re still continuing to follow our deals.. 🤷‍♂️

      • +2

        We offered you a refund or a new pair on the ripped pair https://imgbb.com/1R9tzQ3 and you still denied both or accepting;

        blatant lie
no refund or exchange was ever asked for or offered for the boots
if you have proof that you provided an offer of a refund or even an exchange for those boots, please provide it

in fact when I first dared to post a picture showing that the quality of your boots was bad on 25/10/2021, I had received a verbally aggressive call demanding to know how I dared post something against the company on ozb

        see here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/659128

Purchased two kangaroo rugs a week before the aggressive phone call ie 18/10/2021
in fact before purchasing I did mention here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/657769?page=2#comment:~:te…
that your boots were not good quality, but you chose to ignore my comment ( a common thread, you will ignore ten people who say your products are bad, but latch on and reply to that one comment saying your boots are good)

again more lies, where you had claimed

All rugs have been individually measured and are 160cm+ (Long) by 75cm (Wide) from head to tail.

purchased two rugs, the longer of the two was 155cm
the two rugs I had received were 155cm and 152 cm and not 160cm plus as you claimed
each of those rugs had bald spots- parts of the rugs had no fur on them
        chose to return those

happy to post pictures of the rugs which proves neither of them was 160 cm, and also to show the bald spots ( and you will probably blame the kangaroo)

We offer consistent deals on Ozbargain to give
“New Ozbargainers” the same chance on the Deals…

I think those new ozbargainers that you are targetting have a right to be aware of the quality of your products and the level of after sales service you offer

a quick perusal of your store on product review shows an overall rating of 2.8, with 100 1star reviews out of a total of 193 reviews

clearly I am not the only one who thinks that the focus is more on quantity than quality

And now you’re still continuing to follow our deals..

if it helps anyone avoid the bad experiences of quality and after sales service, should I not be?
aren't we all here for bargains
In fact there was a time where I did think that a pair of Aussie made boots for $60 was too good to be true and therefore a bargain
slowly I realised that it could probably be bought at that price every second or third week
the quality for the boots and kangaroo rugs was bad, and the customer service rep who spoke to me was worse

  • How come there is so much damage control with virtually every "sale" that goes on? So many complaints, so many times "contact us", same thing ad infinitum.
