The whole last half of your description is BS.

Unless you're allowing 6 month discount coupons then the whole post is BS

    • This is a valid question, can the OP address this?

Will the $100 voucher cancel out the 6-month discount available directly from the retailers? eg. Superloop $16 x 6=$96

      • You can see this during the sign-up process - I did it a few months ago. The info could certainly be clearer, but the Superloop discount was applied.

  • Econnex Comparison will provide you with a $100 Woolworths Store Bonus eGift Card when you sign up to and activate any nbn™ plan via OzBargain AllretailersBB.

The link is broken from your T&Cs.

    popular Internet Service Providers

    Dodo ??????????

    • Believe it or not, there are people that swear by them. 🤷🏽‍♂️

      I don't get it either. 😅

      • +5

Do those people also believe the earth is flat?

      • +1

I swore by them… going on 20 years ago now…

The cussing wouldn't stop I was so frustrated.
It still boils my blood to see their name mentioned today!

      • Never again for me.

    • Dodo. 1st month FREEEEEEE

  • What if you are already signed up with one of these providers?

    • +2

Well you wouldn’t be switching, so what about if you are already signed up? No different to a credit card offer..

      • +1

Why wouldn't you be switching? At no point the T&C mentioned previous ISP. Only that you cannot sign up via Exonnex in the past 6 months.

Your broadband service must be activated on or before 31st July 2022 to be eligible for this offer.

    Meh

    • +3

Hey cheekymonkey97, We have updated the Terms and conditions to -Your broadband service must be activated on or before 31st August 2022 to be eligible for this offer, for you to avail this offer.

      • +1

Wow, wasn't expecting that, thanks! Upvoted.

      • nice hustle manyo

      • -1

Hi Manyo, was going to use the service towards the end of the month as I saw you'd made this comment extending the offer but the link is now dead, is it still being offered?

I was also waiting a response to your privacy policy as others have requested below.. if I sign up are my details sold and to who and for what purpose?

        Thanks

        • The offer has ended and wasn't extended (click on the link to double check). The activation date was extended but you still had to sign up before the offer end date which has passed.

          • @brisdaz: Thanks Brisdaz, yes on reading again I can see was just the activation period. Makes choice between this with privacy risks and shopback an easy decision now haha. Thanks

Gift cards are valid for 3 months from the issue date and are not reloadable or redeemable for cash.

How are you enforcing this 3 months limit when most gift cards don’t expire, or have a minimum 3 years expiry by law.

    https://consumer.gov.au/new-gift-card-laws

    • +2

I read somewhere it's because it's not technically a gift card but rather a promotional gift voucher.

    • Gift cards are valid for 3 months

Yep, I thought that was illegal too…

    • +1
      • -1

Apparently, the rules don't apply to this mob.

Albo needs to close this loophole then.

    • +3

You aren't buying the gift card off them they are giving it as a promotion so not required to give 3 years, if you read the link you have attached it is quite clear why - see below.

"The three year requirement does not apply to gift cards that are:
-supplied to a purchaser of goods or services as part of a temporary marketing promotion"

Also how are you not able to spend $100 at Woolworths in 3 months, most people spend more than that weekly..

    • -1

Hey HardQuiz, it is not technically a gift card but rather a promotional gift voucher that has an expiry date, we try to be upfront about all the details, so customers do not face any issues.

      • +4

Yeah,… so upfront that you call it a gift card everywhere.

        • Savage! 🙌

        • +1

I lt actually comes up as a wish gift card in the Woolworths Money app but yeah with an expiry. They give you 2x $50 too btw.

      • In the deal title, you clearly state:

        $100 Woolworths eGift Card

        How misleading can you be?

Why not state: "$100 WW promotional voucher w/ 3mths expiry"?

        • probably because no one does that. Ever. I don't agree with it, but it is what it is..

  • I’m about to switch from Myrepublic, the terrible, to another provider (100/20 plan). Any recommendations or a link to where this has already been discussed.

    Thanking you in advance.

    • More telecom is good if you are a CBA customer…. 30% off for 12 months.

      • As long as it's not more Telstra.

  • +2

i signed up to Exetel last month through these people, lets see in 3 months, if i get GC or not

  • These guys fell terribly short. Signed up 2 weeks in advance… The day for connection comes around and nothing. Gave them a call and I'm advised to talk directly with the new NBN provider. No record of sign up on their end.

  • +1

The $70 cashrewards cashback for new Exetel connections seems like much less work.

    • Looks like you need to click through econnex for this deal which would prevent you clicking from cashrewards as well.

Yeah… Nah. And you ask for drivers licence info?

    • -1

      Is that all?

    • Wonder how they pay for that $100 gift card…

      • Hey mortymorty, If you are eligible, Econnex Comparison will provide you with a $100 Woolworths Store Bonus eGift Card by email up to 90 days after you have successfully activated your service.

        • Can you please answer the guy worried about your privacy policy? I'd be interested too.

  • Will this promo apply for Opticomm services or is just for NBN?

    • T&C says NBN(TM).

Regardless, my private data is worth more than a $100 woolworths gift card voucher.

    • juanes66, Unfortunately, this promo is only applicable for NBN services.

  • Goodtel is offered to me. Why isn't it listed?

  • how long do we need to be connected to the service to get the gift card please?

    • AS per T&C 30 days.

  • +1

So if you are lucky enough to have FTTP sign up to Dodo first month free deal on a free port…

    • Deal was available for me on HFC also so took it up. I've ported to Dodo now (with a byo Telstra smart 2 modem) now none of my streaming services work on my TV. speed test shows 25mbps but nothing seemed to be loading. Any ideas?

  • This offer is valid till 22nd July 2022.
Your broadband service must be activated on or before 31st August 2022 to be eligible for this offer.

If the service is activated on 23rd July this will be past the offer end date.
What will validate that I am eligible for the offer?
How do I prove that I took up the offer on 22 July? You need to outline this clearer in your offer description.

    • I've signed up for an activation date in August.

YOu'll receive a confirmation email which is your proof that it was done on time.

      • Thanks. What is your provider who allows activation scheduling? I've heard that this does not always work with some providers, and people get their nbn service activated in a day or two instead.

        • Exetel.

          • @brisdaz: I had experience with them. They disconnected me without any prior notice because "someone else by mistake put my address to connect to nbn". I didn't have an opportunity to confirm it wasn't my request.

            • @alexshel: @alexshel l I think you'll find all NBN RSPs will do the same. I think I recall one NBN RSP having an extra paragraph tick box that you agree you have the legal permission to takeover the NBN.

    • Hey alexshel, You'll receive a confirmation via email, and If you have not received your gift card within 90 days, please contact the Econnex Comparison on 18000 13000 or e-mail us at [email protected]

  • +1

if you sign up to a free first month trial at Exetel or Dodo can cancel after 30 days will you still get the gift card or do you need to keep an activate plan for 90 days until you receive the gift card.

    • Hey coolsteps ,If your nbn™ service is cancelled within the first 30 days the transaction will be deemed invalid and you will not be eligible to receive a gift card.

      • They asked you a different question.

  • +1

I'm seeing GoodTel, but not Superloop? Has the offer changed?

    • Hey jasswolf, kindly refresh and cross-check again, offer has not changed we are still offering Superloop and GoodTel both, kindly DM us if you still face any issues.

      • +1

Now the web form is broken, I can't advance past the address confirmation page as the 'next' button is not functioning as intended.

EDIT: bypassed it using browser history and can now see Superloop, but you might want to fix that form.

        • +1

Hey mate, Please try and refresh the page or try it in incognito, we have cross-checked and the journey is working perfectly on our end, kindly DM us if you still face any issues.
