We've had a pretty bad experience with this phone from Blackview. After a small drop indoors of less 1m high, the phone stopped working and the repair was too expensive. No support from Blackview either. Not very rugged I would not trust anymore.

Sounds like my pixel in a special case would do better

    • Says in there speal “Battle Tested 😂”
Apart from the unfortunate drop were you happy with the phone…

their custom OS is crap, very old android version and non-updatable. Phone was good otherwise, but very heavy

        • Doke OS 3.0 (Android 11)?

          • @Korban Dallas: Yep. It's just a different launcher than stock Android. Nova Launcher is always better.

      • Hmm… Battle…

I remember watching a YouTube video saying a regular phone with a case provides same level of protection

      • Probably more. I bought one of these for my son as he's pretty rough on phones. It lasted about 4 months and in that time the screen got scratched to bits as the bezel is level with the screen and if it sits screen down the screen takes most of the abuse. The volume and power buttons also wouldn't work as the side bezel got very slightly dented when it was dropped from a table top to a bench. That was fixed by dismantling the phone and filing the bezel, but I doubt many would even have the tools to access the bit that needed fixed.

I've since given him a bog standard Motorola phone with the included clear protector. It's in better condition after 4 months than the other was in 2.

Paying $356 for a battery with a little bit of phone…O.0

I wonder how long it lasts with that thing stuck to it. That's a large capacity compared to mainstream batteries on phones.

    • Finally, right? Might finally be able to go away for a whole weekend without packing an octopus of cables. My blackberry is still managing for now.

Looking at xda forums, this phone looks like a hard pass, unfortunately :(
