    Any 11th/12th Gen NUCs?

    • +1

there are some intel nuc 11 extreme on sale at the moment - i saw an i7 kit at shopping express

    • 5600G + Asrock X300 or if you want really small Jupiter

      put NUCs to shame

edit: on the x300 support for 5000 series was released with a bios update so you might need an older gen ryzen cpu to flash the bios unless it has one of those sweet cpuless options via usb

  • Just in time, my ebay plus expires in two days!

Play hardball renewing… hopefully you get $40 or $50 back

      • I never get any offers for ebay plus.

      • how do you do that? mine expired a few weeks ago and now i'm getting the shitty $20 back offer.

      • +1

I just looked to cancel mine (expires next week), and it gives me a $30 voucher offer - any idea if I say no it'll then offer more in the future?

    Jack will come again?

    • +2

      Jack lives here

    • If it’s the same list of sellers from the recent deal by dealbot, then you’d expect some Jack and less eBay discounts offered this time

    • More like a bogan dad going to get milk and cigarettes

10 minutes till the price hikes 😏

    • eBay must be a trend setter, EVERYTHING is taking price hikes at the moment.

I was watching an item before 10am, it just went up by 15% at exactly 10am……well done Sydneytec

  • Ahh was hoping linendreams would be included. Want to grab some more quilts

    • I'm pretty sure they are included as the code works for their products.

  • I got complimentary PLUS membership and cant say it was at all worth it. Since its expired, Ive gotten prepaid returns from sellers anyway and discounts are almost as good without (2% is not a reason to get eBayPlus!) ~ Unlike PRIME with AMAZON DELIVERY, MUSIC, MOVIES, PHOTO BKUP

In fact Ive been lucky but buy less and less from fleebay as facebook marketplace is where the deals are as long as its face2face for cash for tested working kit and gear!

    • ebay has killed the 2nd hard market thanks to 13.4% base fee on all sales

as a seller it's fine if you looking to get rid of things quickly but you are going to loose a fair chunk of the sale

as a result most people have moved to facebook/gumtree

  • Wondering if anyone can spot any good deals on s21+ that hasn't been jacked, new or refurb?

Nvm, they've been jacked. Glad I got mine for $640 on yesterday's deal.

  • Is there a way to search these items? I looked but can't see.

  • +14

There is actually a search link, if you scroll down and click "Explore the sale"
I can't seem to be able to make it a proper link sorry?
    Search link

    • someone does some work and gets negged? tossers!

      • I mean he could have put it in link tags so it was short and us mobile users didn't have to scroll that mess, haha. (I didn't neg).

        • +1

I tried, but I must have gotten in wrong? I can't seem to edit either.

  • Looking for feedback on the Segway Ninebot, good for casual work commute?

    • +1

Only get the air model if your commute is completely flat and smooth i.e. bikeway or wide footpath and no hills.

      • Cheers thanks for that!

Looking for feedback on the Air Purifier, does it work well, or just a complete gimmick?

    • +2

I bought the full size version of the 4, two of them for my place. Works great, as soon as you start to cook, they ramp up, no odours left lingering in the house and dust buildup seems to be a lot less now as well.
Was burning a scented candle the other day and the unit ramped up trying to neutralise the candle, was a bit funny to see that. I just put the unit to sleep for the period the candle was burning.
Overall would great stuff, assuming the Lite is just a less powerful version of the standard one

      • You're correct. The lite just does less room size, but it's still too big for my needs, I only need one for a 20sqm room. Wonder what other options there are in the 15-20sqm CADR range.

    • I got this: Xiaomi Mi Smart Air Purifier 4.

I used to dust my room/WFH (25sqm) area weekly, and there was heaps of dust. When I got the above, the dust is now considerably less. I keep it on 24/7 on auto and it never made any noise that woke me up at night.

I also have a second unit for the baby room. There is also a Dyson Pure Hot Cold in this room that is able to detect if the air quality in the room is good or bad (poor). With the air purifier on 24/7 - it is constantly showing 'good'.

There is a very good deal for it at the moment, AUD237.xx on eBay. There is also a cheaper 'Lite' version, I do not know what that is.

  • On the lookout for Xmas Segway presents from here on in, I'm guessing I should wait until closer to December for better deals and/or models

    DC

    • maybe, but know that this is the historical low if ozbargain's search history of the air t15 is to be believed - and by a significant margin at that. with shopback gift cards you can get this one whittled down to ~380 which is a far cry of what this selled at on release
i'm getting one for the partner who despises how unwieldly the more powerful units are but still could do with that last-mile fasttracked

Prime day puts these EBay "Sales" to shame

    • +5

Most of the time, Amazon puts ebay deals to shame nearly everyday in terms of pricing and delivery time as well as CS. I am surprise why this kind of so called "15%-20%Sale" get over 50 upvote when effectively most of the things people wants are price jack to a point the real saving is under 5% when is no sale??

  • +1

Enjoy the 17% off on our list of eligible jacked up items.

  • +4

I think it's interesting that there is a neg vote on EVERY comment that mentions Jack, eBay price jacking, eBay price hikes etc.

eBay always jacks up their prices during these 'X% off eligible items' promos. It's a well known fact - backed up by dozens, if not hundreds of examples. Negging everyone for stating facts isn't going to change them into something else. The facts will always remain as such.

    • Somehow people still don't seem to know about price jacking since they tells us everytime

      • +2

I think it's great that everyone highlights it. There are so many people out there that think they're getting a good deal when they're actually getting screwed over.

        • So it's not a well known fact afterall then?

          • @Clear: lol It's generally well known within OZB, but there are plenty of new people to OZB all the time that I'm sure aren't aware.

        • We should neg the entire eBay deal when Jacked.

          It's illegal.

    • eBay always jacks up their prices during these 'X% off eligible items' promos.

Not quite true. I thought it is common OB knowledge that it happens when stores have to contribute a significant % to the discount. Usually occurs with above 10% discount codes. I chuckle when people smirked at 10% discount and said they will wait for 20% codes 😂

Where eBay, or a third party like Klarna, After Pay, or Zip fully funds the discount % (usually 10% or less), nobody have to jack except for few opportunists.

      • Correct. Ebay is not the seller.
Some sellers didn't jack, some does

  • Holy cow lol "eligible" things in my watched list/cart went up, on average, 36%. WTF.

Thankfully the code brings it down to only ~13% jacked.

Xiaomi air purifier 4 lite vs 3h - much difference? I've been hanging out for a 3h deal, as my existing purifiers are 2, 2h and 3h, so all use the same filters. I read the full sized 4 used a new sized filter. does the 4 lite use the same old one as the 3h?

    • +1

does the 4 lite use the same old one as the 3h?

I wrote this in the other thread

seems like it is almost the same as the 3H but it doesn't use a "360° Cylindrical Tri-Layer HEPA" filter but Xiaomi's own "high efficiency filter and active carbon column" filter. A quick search for 4 Lite filters makes it hard to find and more expensive than the HEPA filter for H models.

      • +1

I did buy the 4 lite in the end, and I have some regret. It's a slightly taller unit, yet has smaller air volume figures so won't do as big a room. The screen is bigger, but has a 'retro' style text that looks kind of cheap and nasty. The power supply has been moved out of the unit into a wall wart, which is a Euro one and very wobbly on the included pin adapter, with a DC plug at the purifier end, half way up the unit. The old 3H just used a figure 8 cord which plugged into the base of the unit at the rear, which was easy to swap out for an australian one. So the 4 lite has a bit more cord hanging around instead of tucked away along the floor.

I haven't tried to source a replacement filter for the 4 lite yet, but hopefully if enough other people buy them there will be enough demand to have them widely available by the time I do need to buy one.

It does seem to be a bit quieter on the same fan setting than the 3H, which is a plus.

  • Does anyone know if I can still apply the code after accepting a sell’s offer?
