  QNAP is the subject of countless ransomware attacks recently, along with the fact that my TS451+ died because of the known intel CPU bug yet I recevied 0 warning from QNAP, I will not touch this company.

  I would rather chew glass than get another QNAP, just after warranty expired board in the QNAP dies, google the burnt out molex issue and find many have had the issue

  My QNAP has been peachy. Just keep your firmware/qts up to date, no problems.

    Same here…… the 431KX hasn't skipped a beat, it's patched regularly, it's not open to the internet….. great little device. I'm even thinking of getting a TR004 to expand it.

  Honestly, I have a good experience with their support, even after out of warranty, they still support me - unless I've been lucky.

  The annoying thing with QNAP is, their support located outside AU, thus their response is a bit at later time.
