    Hey OP,

Ozbargain post says 16gb of RAM - but eBay page only says 8gb of RAM?

Mind advising how much RAM it contains?

Looks very dodgy. Isn't there supposed to be an ABN?

      touch or not?

      • +1

I would also like to know if it's a touch screen or not.

        • +1

          hi,

          It has touch screen

      • +3

Another listing, looks like the same seller, but different ebay account, low-feedback. Smells bad.

Seller without ABN selling lots of high-end laptops suspiciously cheap from multiple ebay accounts. What could go wrong?

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/374185086764?hash=item571f2b4f2c…

        Is this SHAHZAD, QAISAR ? ABN 33 649 712 292

        • yes Correct

      • Abn is provided in in the post.

        • Was that added by moderator? It was not provided in description or ebay listing.

    • EBay says 16GB now.

    • +5

In item description it actually says 8gb. Not very reassuring to have discrepancies between heading and item details.

    • +3

Epic fail. You dont know this stuff until you check it lol.

Useful information for anyone thinking of buying, that the $50 off code works on this item. Add another cheap eligible item like this $1.49 SIM ejector to get $100 off. Net cost $900.49!

    Too good to be true?

  • Now pick up has changed from TAS TO NSW?

  • How come 😯

  • OOS.

  • +2

Received today, it is i7-1185g7, 512GB ssd and 16GB RAM, windows 10 pro, touch screen, brightness not very bright comparing to my Envy 13 400nits screen. There is a tag on the display, interesting

    • +1

      Hey @belrose,

When you say a "tag on the display" do you mean on the screen itself? Or on the back of the screen?
I ask because mine has a sticker with the email address for a specific company's IT department (even though it's in a sealed bag with an HP anti-tamper sticker) and wondering if you mean the same.

The shipping address on the box (before it was wrapped up and my address added) was also for that same company.

Do we think these fell off the back of a truck?

      • +2

same as Balthraka, a sticker on the back of the display with name of gov agent

    • +2

Received same model today. i7-1185g7, 512GB ssd and 16GB RAM. 13.3'' with touch, also LTE model and USB to RJ45 adapter. Warranty exp 28/03/2026. Inventory tag from insurance company on top cover.

      • +1

        @dustim,

Yeah, I have that same sticker (of a government agency) and also got the USB to RJ45 adapter and almost 4 year on site extended warranty (also came with the USB C charger with an Australian plug FWIW).

Haven't turned it on to check the specs yet, but it was meant to come with an 1165G7. Presumably the 1185 is better?

        • +1

          Yes 1185 should be better.

  • +1

Mine received today and it’s a touch screen.

Yes it does have icare nsw gov email st the back of lappy.

    • +1

So… How does a computer with a company's internal IT email/inventory tag end up in a tamper proof sealed HP bag?

      • +1

        Old inventory that they've resold?
        Stolen from their asset inventory?
Fell off the back of a truck?

        • +1

I was assuming the 3rd in general.
          But, hadn't thought about #1.

My question was more though how an internal inventory tag ends up in a tamper proof bag.
Do HP put the stickers on in the factory for companies? I had always assumed the sticker would be put on by the IT department after receiving it, but do HP offer that service?

          • +1

@Balthraka: I doubt a store with ABN would blatantly advertise for sale illegally obtained stuff under their own name. I am guessing these may just be excess corporate order, enough spares to last the company over a period of time, but now no longer required, so factory auction off in bulk to small resellers…

            • @Buy2Much: Hey mate.

That’s exactly what the seller said.
              Spot on!!

              • @aman00024: @aman00024, @belrose, @dustim
Have you had any issues with your laptops?

Mine has suffered random crashes since I got it. Totally unusable unless you can risk losing whatever you're working on and potentially not being able to turn it back on for half an hour as it fails 15 or 20 times.

HP have come to my house and replaced the Mainboard, RAM, SSD and the whole thing has been software wiped multiple times. Still no good.

Just wanted to see if I'm the only one. :-(

(HP have finally decided today that they will replace it but I have to get the replacement from @irfan akram who then has to send the original back to HP, so will see how that goes).

  • @IrfanAkram
My computer arrived but is faulty (hardware issues).

How do I get in touch with you about a replacement? (HP refuse to deal direct with me).

    • Hi,

As i spoke to you just send the product back we will refund you.

      Thanks
