GET20

Had received an email from Skrill on this.

Get 20 AUD off when transferring minimum of 400 AUD. Use promo code GET20 when transferring. Deal ends on 8th Aug.

Not as good as previous deals but the 20 AUD off would likely still be worth it.

Click on deal link to see T&Cs.

I deposited $1.20 USD into Skrill a few years ago for some shitty CS:GO gambling website and couldn't do anything with it because I deposited with Mastercard, not Visa. Also, Apparently they have a "Fee for Inactivity" which removes 5 EUR every month or something after a certain amount of time. Rip $1.20.

    • I just got the email from them this month about inactivity fee, the fasted 'account closure' I've ever done.

Also have used them to buy game-related products and found it painful and expensive (fees + poor conversions)

Going overseas first time to greece soon.

I recommend a day walking around the streets of Plaka and the foot of the Arcropolis.

What would everyone recommend for using money?

I recommend using Euros. Drachmas are hard to get a hold of these days.

      • Definitely going to Acropolis. My partner has distant family on some islands, so we're going out there as well.

Back in the day citi bank for savings and 28 degree master card for cc. No fees. Decent rate.

      • Thanks, I just looked it up. So 28° card is a credit card, no fees unless I fail to pay the balance within 55 days, then 21.99% interest.
Also, to get cash out, there is "3% of the cash advance or $4 (whichever is greater)." So I get 1000 euro from ATM, I pay 30 Euro fee, plus whatever the ATMs fee is?

I just trying to work it all out XD

        • For taking money out your better off using the citibank account.

I think cash advance there is no interest free period as well.

Never a good idea to take cash out of a credit card.
