As a regular Baby Q user, I would suggest you investigate the weber Q1200 which has the inbuilt thermometer, higher lid & push starter. Only available at Weber Specialist Dealers.

    • Indeed. Picked up my 1200 from the last ebay deal. Best purchase in awhile.

    • the weber Q1200 which has the inbuilt thermometer,

Still waiting for it to drop to this price.

    • This. Just bought the 1200 at retail price after weighing up the value in spending the extra $60 over the discounted basic model

    • For anyone considering any Q model, i would deffinately recommend spending the extra for one with a built in thermometer. Trying to get the tempreture sweet spot i find makes a huge difference for whatever you are cooking up!

  • I recently upgraded from a Q2200 to a Spirit II 320. It's great but I am having a little buyers remorse because I think it's larger than I really need.

I’m about 3/4 of the way to having enough Nando’s points to get one of these for free, not long now!

      Damn bro $2900 at Nandos

      • +3

That's two and a half chooks, going by the prices at Nandos.

  • Was wanting one for our caravan but apparently the regulations have change and external BBQs need flameout safeguards. Unfortunately the Baby Q's don't have them

    • just use it directly off a gas bottle rather than your bayonet fitting.

    • Yep they are fine & legal when directly connected to a gas bottle. Ziggy is the same. Both companies will be adding flameout guards in the future to allow users to connect to a gas bayonet.

      • I believe both companies have been saying that for a fair few years now

  • you can get the q1200 direct from weber australia on eBay for $359 with SNSJULY, bigger lid - free delivery

  • Any one want to jump in on the Weber V Ziggy comparison.

Looking at the moment. Ziggy appears to be able to cook with the lid up compared to the weber that needs the lid down.

    • I believe ziggy puts out more heat, so greater gas use. Weber does everything really well, just a different style of cooking.

  • had baby Q for around 10 years and should last another 10. Amazing quality
