Hate to break it to you, but Bezos isn’t doing it out of the good of his heart.

He wants to win. He’s just playing the long game.

But I agree, it’s super convenient.

      • +3

It's good we got OzB so we know who's being matched. We can choose to support the small local guy/gal.

      • +1

'Heart' is not a big factor to me when it comes to retail purchases, or any other business-facing transaction for that matter.

    • +8

But they'll never drop the price on those bunch of items willingly. It's part of the reason I'd rather buy from the original discounter where I can, but damn does convenience go a long way when it comes to making a purchase.

      • +1

        Same here!

      • +2

True that and competition is always good for the consumer.

The flip-side is that local retailers also need to lift their game if they want to stay in business. I don't want to reward a behemoth like Amazon who have deep pockets and can easily destroy smaller retailers with their algorithmic prowess; but I also don't want their competitors to sit on their laurels either when it comes to innovation and customer experience investment.

Newer MX 3S uses Bolt receivers, it's a niche requirement but can become annoying if you don't want to use Bluetooth and have 3S with laptop at home and carry Anywhere 3 elsewhere, need to swap out the receivers or have both plugged in. Logitech should design their "top end" peripherals cross compatible if not all peripherals.

    • I agree.

Some of Logitech's new products like the MX Mechanical Wireless keyboard have moved to Bolt as well. It's certainly a consideration for people who are in the Logitech ecosystem to be mindful of where connectivity is headed when purchasing products such as the Logitech MX Anywhere 3. I'm hopeful and expecting that a similar 'Logitech MX Anywhere 3S' is on the horizon which supports Bluetooth and Bolt.

Oops.. Mistook this deal for an MX Master 3. What an epic price that would have been! 😆

    • ha me too. But really I can't bring myself to pay over a hundred for that (or any) mouse

  • Is this a full sized mouse?

    • Nah its half the size. Its quite comfortable tho and I prefer it to my MX Master moose.

    • +4

Compact size, meant to be carried around, hence "anywhere".

  • Much better than the pink one, thanks Op :)

  • Thank you OP

So anyone had any luck with OW?

  • White one will be next? Looking forward to it.

  • What’s special about this mouse?

    • +2

Compact, multi-device, can switch between computers with Logitech Flow, mad scroll wheel

      • +2

Dragging files between laptop and desktop using Flow is very good.

Also it works on smooth/reflective surfaces (anywhere!) nicely. Got a polished marble table in the boardroom, cheap office mice just can't handle that surface without a matt but this one can.

    • +5

This mouse is rated for use anywhere. Even in the middle of a violent storm, this mouse won’t let you down. It’s also willing to travel, unlike those wfh mice that are just hanging out behind the fridge getting fatter

      • +2

Now that I've gone back to the office I'm pretty sure my WFH mouse is just lounging on the sofa all day.

  • Managed to price beat it at local OW thanks guys

  • +1

Prices of these is a lot higher than the older 2 series, gone are the days when they were less than $50 on sale. Must be a lot of profit baked into these now.

    • Unsurprisingly, a baked mouse becomes quite erratic. A gentle reminder to secure your stash, because those suckers will eat anything
