Bought this recently. Pretty cool product, got it running around the back of my desk so it illuminates the wall behind it. Has heaps of settings, the kids love playing around with them.

Only downside is it doesn't stick that well, I've had to buy some double sided tape to reinforce it a bit in spots

    • Same experience. I am still happy with the product.

I have had a similar one (different brand however) which gets interference with tv remote such that when I press the TV remote it will turn on the LED lights and make it switch to different colours and screw up the original remote settings of the LED. Wondering of these lights have the same issue?

    • +1

It would depend on if your TV remote uses the same frequency(?) controls as the lights.

      Recommendation: Try changing TVs?

    • Had same issue with one ordered cheap from China. Shielded it from IR light from remote & worked fine. Just had to use light strip remote up close.

90 day Kmart return would solve problem

    • Yes. I use this around my tv my tv remote makes it do all kinds if stuff

    • It's probably why it's on clearance…

Nice to have ambient lighting around a tv, much more pleasant to watch than watching with bright lights on or no lighting at all

    • only of the led strip turns on with TV Automatically

      • +4

Mine does that, the USB socket turns on when the TV does

    • Which colour you set it to?

      • +3

Usually like an orange/red ish colour

  • Not staying on when i plug the usb to my tv usb plug…need a proper wall usb charger and it works

i think ur tv is a problem.

      o
this led only needs 5v 2a power which is USB 2.0 even capable or any cheapest powr bank

Sound alike your TV cuts power to USB ports when not on

Bought this, tried it for 2 nights, poor brightness compared to Arlec branded strips from Bunnings. Returned it the next day. You get what you pay for in terms of lumens with these strips it would seem. Wifi worked ok and integrated with google home. More of a novelty light than functional IMO.

    • So not good for working lighting?

I have a work bench for tinkering in the shed, don't need anything super light, but adequate to see most things.

  • Do these have physical button

    • No just the remote

Lots of reviews about the sticky tape falling off after a few days…

    • +1

Very common on all the cheap LED strips.

Would this be easy to wire up off 12v DC in a car?

At first glance I thought the photo was a washing machine lol
