lol… available for teachers but only outside of "Monday to Friday, outside public holidays and school holiday periods". So not really available for teachers?

Good deal for everyone else though!

    • Not all teachers work Monday to Friday

Bath House bathing: 5:00am to 11:00pm

I'm sure that teachers could make it happen within those hours if they wanted to.

  • 25% off the already super inflated prices and overcrowded hot springs. Yay.

I agree. Remember used to be $55 for a package with a pizza. Now have to pay 20 something for a pizza and the menu is not very exciting. But hot spring is still nice at winter time.

      • But hot spring is still nice at winter time.

Not if there is lightning in the area.

      • I remember when they had an early bird, in my uni days we would go at 7am to get $10 entry.

I had been here a couple of times some years ago and it was always a pleasant experience. Quite a lot of people but sufficiently spaced out across all the pools.
Then I went about a year ago and it really felt like the pools were jam-packed. We weren't there during a peak time either. As someone commented when we were there, it seemed you often ended up playing 'footsies' with others in the pool, it was that bad ;)

The first couple of times I went they had some 'quiet pools' - which the staff enforced also. That's all gone out the window too. They're really just going after the $$ and getting as many in the door as they can.

Don't think I'll ever go back.

    • We went last Tuesday. Was really good. not many people at all. Sometimes we could have the pool for a while just ourselves.

I think with the lockdowns. People gone crazy at that time.

      • I was going to edit my post but you had replied. Actually, the visit I was speaking of was in 2017 so pre-covid.
But yeah, it's good to try once at least, and hope that you get a very quiet day.

There's also a new hot springs in Metung for anyone going out that way.

        • I am happy to be corrected, but I think there are a lot less overseas tourists now than there would have been in 2017.

Last time I went was between COVID lockdowns, and they managed the numbers well at that time.

So did I and it was absolutely packed…

  • price increased 1st Aug

    • Wow I just went a couple of weeks ago and thought $65 was too much. Bloody hell. Can't wait for Alba across the road to open to give them some competition!
Plus as other say, they let too many people in at the same time. Years ago the cap on people was much lower, even when taking the new area into account! The operators are getting very greedy. "I know what I have" mentality!

      • I hadn't heard of Alba - although they look pretty expensive too.
They want a piece of that delicious pie ;)
Peninsula hot springs is lucky they've had this long in the market without competition.. they've been raking it in.

        • With the latest price increase, PHS is now the same price as Alba if you want a robe, locker and towel included with your entry. PHS is still cheaper overall as the extras are optional whereas Alba includes them as standard.

  • they are also looking for chef's, i wish i could apply and get free pool

  • Been a few times, wife got ringworm one time so have to convince her to go back now…

  • most recent tripadvisor review

After 10 years from my first visit, I would never recommend going on a Saturday night… my partner and I walked the entire premises before finding a pool we could fit in…. We all sat on top of each other, there were that many people. Definitely a potential COVID breeding ground. IT WAS DISAPPOINTING AND DISGUSTING.
Please limit your numbers to allow a relaxing experience for all.

That was similar to my experience, except I didn't go on a Saturday night. And I went pre-covid.
They need to limit the number of people coming in once it hits a certain number. They probably say they do, but it doesn't feel like it when you're playing footsies with randoms in every pool you try and sit in ;)
