    Model in title (G2)

There are reasons why they're more expensive than Hisense or TCL etc.

Image processing, Colour Science, Panel Quality Control are major factors. People who spend do so for those reasons. We have 4k HDR content on Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime, Apple TV Plus, Apple Movies, Google Movies and Blu Ray Discs. Not to mention Game consoles and PCs. So not exactly lacking in content either. Most of these TVs are usually connected to Apple TV, Google Tv, Shield or FireTV.
However if you don't care for all of it then don't bother. You do you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

          OLED infinite contrast!

        • I don't understand why you're being downvoted for asking a question but anyway.
I was in the same boat but decided to buy a Phillips 65" OLED at about $2K on Prime Day, why:
          - Better Contrast (unlike a traditional TV there is no backlight on the whole pannel, so true black is achieved by turning off specific pixels)
          - Motion Interpolation (smart processing turns 30fps into 60fps, it isn't flawless but quite a nice perk)
          - Apparently lower electrical consumption

Yeah my 77c1 was $5400 but when I buy stuff I buy quality as I can see how shit cheap TVs are and if I'm watching it for 5-10 years I want something that has it all and I'll be happy with..

Each to their own I suppose.

  • The Motorola phone was MUCH cheaper here just recently: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/715178.

Not a deal, I have it last time for 3565 from hardly normal deal

This is a mixed bag of RRP junk.
This is not what ozbargain is for.

  • Metz 55"" 4K OLED Android Smart TV, is this panel from LGD ? or chinese panels? Apparently Metz brand is owned by skyworths, Chinese company.
