  • This or pixel 6a?

Great phone but 128gb just isn't enough these days

    • Agreed. Not sure why the 256gb version isn't more readily available here

      • Not sure how it compares, but I've seen the Samsung S21 FE 256GB version on special for $849.

I've been looking at the Pixel 6a, Pixel 6 and Samsung S21 FE 256GB, but they're all past my price range (I was looking to stretch to $650 as my budget originally started at $500). I kind of wanted something with a good camera, so I have to do some research of how the Camera's compare. Not sure what websites review them when it comes to stuff like that.

Not sure if I should keep waiting until the Pixel 7 is out and then seeing if there is a good deal on the Pixel 6 (not sure what price to expect it to go down to). Also, not sure if it's realistic to expect to Samsung S21 FE to be cheaper later in the year if I wait a bit more. I haven't looked for a phone in years, so not sure how pricing works as far as deals go and when I new model is due out if there are any big discounts on the previous model.

I also looked at refurbished models, but not sure if I want to take the risk.

        • so many not sure

I would wait for pixel 7 and look at getting 6a/6 for closer to $650

S21 fe is the best all round phone in this price bracket imo. Just bought one for my girlfriend and the cameras display and build are great. Also consider the support you get over Motorola and google with 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security over googles 3/5 and Motorola's pray that your phone will receive an update!

    • Did you get the S21 FE on a deal or anything? I like what you've said about the updates and support, that makes it more enticing. Just wondering how it stacks up camera wise compared to the Pixels. I really do think it's my first choice, but just a bit out of my price range :(.

      • I got mine through epp and a mail subscription voucher for 750. That being said it has been sold for as low as 720.

From the reviews pixels seemed like a wash in terms of camera. Pictures are good but reportedly unnatural. Whilst not quite as good the FE camera is very good and has an additional telephoto lens that the P6 lacks.

Plus P6 AU stock only really has gone as low as 800 and it's an older phone which means less support. You can also get quick servicing in metro areas at the Samsung stores too rather than mailing your phone away for weeks. I'd wait for a bargain on the fe imo.

    • Not very impressed with my S21 FE. Battery life sucks. Pretty slow at times.

I didn't buy an Edge 30 Pro because the battery life isn't meant to be great and I didn't want a 6.7" screen.

PCMark's work benchmark found the Edge 30s has ~15% better battery life.

I think the g82 is a better at $359 with coupon. Have option of dual Sim or SD support and headphone jack. Sure it has the snapdragon 695 but in my experience it is more than enough if you arent gaming. What I lose in performance is being made up by outstanding battery life.

Coupon at the top works with most things on JB site and not just the listed phone.
