    Are these any good ?

I bought the paneer samosas last time around but didn’t like them much…

Try everything else, or even better goto an Indian grocery store.

      • Yeah, the fresh ones are really good.

Quality groceries(Glen Huntly) have a cafe and they make’em very good.

        • +2

The cafe is closed as the building is being renovated.. and I agree abt the fresh samosa, had it once when they opened for a week as the construction was on halt for some reason and I can say they are the best fresh samosas I had in Aus.. the next best were from Swades (Toowong - Bne)

The Snack India opposite to Quality also makes pretty good fresh Samosas

Yeah well these ones are all vegan so they will probably taste better unless you have distaste for moving beyond the bronze age.

      • +1

        lol what ?
        Where did this come from

I didn’t even know that they were vegan until you just told me.

        • -3

How do you know a samosa's vegan?

          Don't worry they'll **** tell you.

          Hurrr durrr!

(literally the only way anyone can inform you they're vegan)

@afoveht: But that not the point though

The point is that you speculated my judgment based on the information that I wasn’t even aware of.
            And you were WRONG.

Anyways, why are you coming at me like that ? I don’t want argue with you over nothing, basically.

              @Gervais fanboy:

              you speculated my judgment

              Really? Where?

(I mean I might have, but in my mind, not on the keyboard).

Yeah well these ones are all vegan

And contain palm oil which causes large-scale devastation of tropical forests and the loss of habitat for endangered species like Asian rhinos, elephants, tigers and orangutans.

Lucky you don't eat those eh, or that they affect your life in any meaningful way, else I suspect you wouldn't be talking about their protection.

            @afoveht:

or that they affect your life in any meaningful way,

So only animals that "affect your life in a meaningful way" are worth saving?

        • Maybe responsibly sourced palm oil..

If date trees weren't there something else would be. Agricultural farming of livestock is much worse.

For the money they are not bad but the sauce was pretty spicy..

      • They'd taste better if they had some meat in them.

        • +1

          Post Bronze age preferably.

        • Just like adding lettuce to fish n chips make them better lol

        • No need. Just like spring rolls (which are vegetable)

Oh yes they would be good. One of the best brands for North Indian street food. This being potato based filling, would be better than the paneer one. Also, this would be spicier.

      • One of the best brands for North Indian street food

Yeah, definitely better than that Kuji(whatever) crap.

      • Haldiram's is the best for sweets, for sure. I have had some of their finger-food products that were not as good as Sabrini's (also in Coles and occasionally on sale). Haldiram's is worth a try when on special.

    • If you like samosas, then I will highly recommend getting them from Aldi. The taste is similar to what you would get in India.

    • I like their hot & spicy version. It has nuts and raisins though.

    • Aaahh, cheers

      Will definitely try. 👍🏻

Awesome for half price, goes great in the AF
        (Microwave for a min first)

  • Do they still these in Victoria as well? Only samosas I have seen are of a different brand.

    • +1

      Yes they do

But there is a supply problem though and only a select few supermarkets stock these…

Pretty sure the one in Burwood (burwood hwy/blackburn road) stocks’em.

    • I have seen only Sabrini around SE

      • Thanks. That's the brand they sell around East as well.

  • Being an Indian myself I hate these because the filling has both spicy and sweet mix.. the sauce is spicy for my taste but the filling itself is something "I" dont like.. prefer the Katoomba Punjabi Samosa due to the filling..

  • Thanks OP. Been waiting for this. Time to stock up.
