A pretty popular smart bassinet with breathable mesh sides. I just had one delivered from the May 20% off sale and they refunded the difference for this 25% sale.

I used a card with no international fees. Aus price is estimated visa conversion roughly.

  • How long did delivery take out of interest?

    • +1

You usually set an advanced delivery date, and it arrives fairly quickly from that date (along the lines of 1-2 days).

Note that if your child arrives early they won't change your delivery schedule, even though the website suggests it.

      • +1

You can contact them and move the delivery date earlier. I moved mine forward a few weeks to get ready earlier.

        • +1

Yes if you do this well ahead of the delivery date. But not if your child arrives unexpectedly and you want to move the date to ship immediately.

    • +1

I had told them to start the delivery on the 1st of August and it arrived in Newcastle from Sydney on the 4th. You set a "shipping" date closer to the due date and then they estimate a week or so from that I think.

  • +2

It seems like a waste of money given the short timeframe that it can be used.

    • +1

Can resell or I'm sharing this with a friend as our dates are staggered.

    • How much to value sleep?

Seems to have a high resale and rentability since its not available at stores locally

  • Definitely worth it if you value sleep. Resale value on these is not bad. Selling mine after I’m done.

    • -3

Sounds like you don't need it anymore, I mean you already know how to use the internet.

    • Surely you're a little big to use this?

  • +2

This is a god send if you value your sleep and resale value is very good. However, it's hard to wean the child off the rocking motion that they get used to with the snoo so keep that in mind too.

    • -1

      So totally counterproductive then

Much better strategies out there than yield longer term results

  • Where do you list it to rent after?

  • +3

Did not work for us at all.
I'm a cheapskate, but bought it out of sheer desperation. Didn't seem to make any difference.
I'm not saying it doesn't work in general, but each child is different, and it's not necessarily the silver bullet you're looking for.

    • +1

yep, didn't work for ours either (could be anything).
Could only sleep for about 30mins at a time in the snoo.
      Resale value isn't bad though.

    • +1

      but each child is different

And that's the key point. Every child is different. Perhaps this is a nice to have, but there are no guarantees when it comes to babies…

  • like some others, im not sure how much this helped, but it is some impressive tech. having the data in the app to show how long the baby has slept for is useful even if you dont use all the rocking motions. i think we just used the white noise after a while.
i did manage to resell for more than i paid, but admittedly during lockdown where there was a shortage.

    • -2

White noise machines are under $30

The problem with these rocking machines is the baby gets used to it and relies on it. You're not going to take it to daycare, and they'll be totally lost without it.

  • a friend bought one of these, said it was concerning how much it was shaking the baby even on the lowest setting so they sent it back

  • +1

Thanks OP, have been waiting for this to go on sale.

  • +3

We bought one 2 years back in the 40% off BF sales. Used it. Loved it. Sold if for more than we paid for it - winning!

This thing gets a lot of 1 star reviews, I think most of them because it didn't work out for them. You'd think you'd be able to pick one up cheap on marketplace

  • mates got one of these… i honestly cant tell if its worth the money. As far as i can tell if the baby wants to wake up… it gna wake up. it wants something. to crap, eat or if its awake. to be awake.
rocking it to sleep again.. well that doesnt just happen. not in our home anyway

shrug if u can sell it for same price or more than u bought for i guess who cares.

    • -2

Except people think that these work because a baby falls asleep in them.

They are a waste of money.

I'd never buy a product with as many 1 star reviews as this.

      • @TEER3X why are you obsessed with this post? 😄 If it looks better than most bassinets, has fully meshed sides and can include white noise and gentle rocking, then it looks better than most of the other options. It is probably overkill but if people think there's a chance it'll be easier to use than a Moses basket then it's a useful piece of kit.

Why are you obsessed with thumbing down every comment I make in this post?

          Yeah, that's why.

  • Do we have to pay custom tax to get into Australia since it’s more than 1k aud?

  • Is it still on sale? I can only see $1395
