I wish the voucher was for a larger amount, say $50. I would go crazy at Coles. Don't think I will bother for $4.

    • -1

You don't have to limit yourself to something around $10, you can use it as part payment for something more expensive. It's still $4 saved.

    • +1

Not at Coles you wouldn't. Westfield T&C says:

"Some retailers may choose not to accept the gift card. This includes the Coles Group (with the exclusion of Kmart and Target), Myer and the Woolworths Group"

Beware - if you choose to use PayPal, then press the back button to go back to Groupon, the system will think you've already bought the 'deal'.

Now I can't buy the deal. Stupid bug.

    • Create another account.

    • stupid bug

      like this

    • same here, cannot buy the deal when PayPal expired and clicked go back

      • Clear your cookies or start a different browser if that's too hard. IE/Chrome/Firefox.

        • that won't work as I tried, the account you registered thinks you bought it!

        • You don't need to "register" an account, just put in a dummy e-mail for the subscription each time.

  • great deal if you joined and got email…get for $1

    • how to get it for $1?

  • +3

Congratulations! You just saved 846.00 $!

    umm WTH?

    • yeah i got that too. I got excited though i got hundreds of them..but no.

After buying, I got a voucher. Instruction is "copy code into the voucher field on the deal offer's website", where is that? Can I use this voucher now?

    • +1

They will mail the card to you. You don't have to do anything.

  • +1

How many have to buy in order to get a 40% off on Samsung S3 :-) ?

    • Depends where you're buying it from.

  • Weird thing happened to me - I paid using credit card, but then I got an error page. When I went back I couldn't buy the deal. Seems to be the same bug as the Paypal one reported above.

  • +1

Don't even bother to do all the instructions and wait for 3 weeks just to save $4. And it is only Westfield's gift card, not Woollies, Myers or Coles.

    • minus cc/delivery/any other kind of fees.

  • wtf, I used my voucher and it stated clearly on the screen that it was $1. yet in my confirmation email it says they're taking $6 from my account.

    • +1

      but you only paid $1

    • Did you enter the voucher code at the beginning of the page where it says "redeem voucher"?

      • +1

EDIT: actually never mind. I checked my account and they did only take $1 from my account. Haha, thanks for the help though guys :)

  • +1

Yeah like $10 is going to get me all that stuff the lady is carrying in the picture.

    • $10 worth of plastic bags maybe. :P

      • She's having real trouble trying to lift them

  • +4

Too much effort to save $4.

    • Agreed. Was given some Westfield cards once for Xmas, really struggled to find a store in any Westfield that would a) accept the gift card and b) have any products that I actually wanted. Now, if they offered to sell me a $10 note for $6, that's a different story!

      • That's true for Westfield, but there is an identical offer for Woolworths, that one is much better than this one (particularly if you manage to order multiple times).

  • Can multiple gift cards be stacked online or at the store?

  • (Should I or shouldn't I?) Ok I've confirmed this can be ozbargained… You can buy multiples simply by clearing your cookies and then re-purchasing. You don't even need a real email address, simply your home address. Just make sure to save your vouchers so you don't have any trouble down the track.

    FREE MONEY!!!!

    • That's a little dangerous, wouldn't it be suspicious to have 10 cards going to the same address? What if they refuse to send them out on the basis of abuse, then you'll have to chase them to get your money back. Anyone had actual experience with Groupon on ordering multiple items when it says limited to 1?

      • This is true.

CAVEAT - Use your own judgement if you are going to do this.
Blowing $50 for a laugh is fine by me but your own circumstances may be different.

    • +1

I tried clearing cookies but still doesn't work

"Sorry, you cannot buy this deal. Have a look at some other deals here!"

  • Just saw on their website target now accept the Westfield card. That gives everyone a few more options.

    • Edit: nevermind. I can't read good.

    • Kmart and DJ's accept it too.

  • LOL at all the people who would normally boast of saving 5c on a purchase complain $4's not worth it when in the same amount of time they could have just clicked on Buy. :)

    • +1

i think people wont have issues if this is direct from westfield/woolies.

but it's scoopon/etc… it's like buying cheap candy from that dodgy burly man at the corner… anything can happen, you know what i'm sayin'?

      • Actually the cards will come from Westfield; Groupon (not Scoopon) is handling the sales. I haven't had issues with Groupon so touch wood.

  • +1

Anyone know if you can use these in the food outlets?

  • +1

It says 1 per person, not 1 per household, so I don't why you can't get 10 sent to the 1 address? You could have 10 people living in the 1 address that's plausible…

    • Definitely, for example, Marge, Homer and Bart currently live at my house.

    • +2

      yep.
i've got grandma slowmo, grandpa slowmo, mom slowmo, dad slowmo, sister slowmo, brother slowmo, and about 20 other relatives. they all happen to see this deal when having a family reunion dinner at my place and we all decided to have it sent here so that i can collect on their behalf.

      • What if you have to provide a matching ID to receive the cards?

        • ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • -1

Thanks OP. Bought two. Sold out!!!

  • these are sold out!!!!

  • hope these arrive in time for the toy sales :)

  • has anyone received theres yet?

    • Nope… still waiting

    • Still waiting here. (Sydney)

  • Got mine 2 days ago in Melbourne. Went to use them today and they wouldn't work. The westfield service desk said that they havn't been activated by Groupon so cant be used until they are. About to shoot them off an email to try to sort it out.

    • Same here, got mine on Friday in Melbourne. Tried to use them on the weekend and didn't work. Also saw the service desk with the same advice…

    • Yep, same situation here. Let us know what Groupon say.

    • Me too… tried to use it on the weekend and it didn't work. Would be interested to know on how to activate it too.

FYI, I tried checking my balance here: http://www.westfieldgiftcards.com.au/giftcard/about_gift_car… but I'm getting an error:

      Westfield.com is experiencing
      technical difficulties

We're working hard to identify the problem,
and hope to be up and running again soon

Anyone got any luck checking their balance?

      • I received the same error message for the card I received. I also have another Westfield card that was not part of the deal and am able to check the balance OK. Although looking at a later response you made, it should be activated tomorrow.

  • Does anyone know how to activate the $10 Westfield Gift Card ?

  • I got this response from groupon if anyone's interested:

    Hi,

Please note that your Westfield Card will be activated as of tomorrow, so after tonight you should be able to use it!

Sorry about any confusion, and I hope you enjoy your purchase!

    Regards,

    • mine today was:

Thank you for contacting Groupon Australia!

The Westfield cards will be available for use as of tomorrow.

We do apologize immensely for this error and for this delay in activating the cards. This is not the kind of experience we want our customers to have! sorry again!

      All the best

  • Finally arrived. In Sydney. In case you're not sure which Westfield stores accept it, go to the concierge and they will give you a brochure listing the merchants that accept the card.
