  • haha only just realised it is tuesday today…. I was looking for this deal in the app yesterday thinking it was Tuesday and couldn't find it. I can see it in the Colonel's Offer section (top right)

  • Deal is live in Gold Coast, QLD!

  • Ouch… not available @TAS

  • This is good. But have you tried hot 'n spicy KFC in Thailand? That's some mighty fine bird right there!!!

    • No bahts!

  • I literally cried in TAS

    • +1

      I'm also crying in ACT

  • Live in Newcastle Region NSW. Original only.

    • theres only 3 stores in sydney i believe that have hot and spicy all year round so every other store will just be original chicken

      • George St, Lindfield and Artarmon.

        • +1

          i guess 4 then
2 KFC's in sydney city (1 at town hall and 1 at central) then lindfield and artarmon

  • My fat arse says yes for deep-fried chicken, my head says no. Decisions, decisions.

    • Yes

Factoring in the cost of liposuction in Cuba as a consequence of the deal.. its still a top deal!

    • +1

Just lift more weights and reduce KJs from other meals of the day

  • Does KFC provide a 100% chicken guarantee?

    • +3

No. You also get some breading, 11 secret herbs and spices, and an imperial f-ton of oil.

      • +1

not a metric ton? I want my $10's worth!

    • I think if they substituted chicken for rabbit for instance it would not be a problem.

      • i wouldn't mind some KFR

      • Because everything tastes like chicken?

  • +2

    I'm eating my now :)

    • +2

      Is your now tasty? ;)

    • +2

Me too lol reading through the comments while I eat, trying not to get the phone screen all greasy

  • +1

just a gripe, why doesn't KFC always sell the extra crispy chicken or have the wicked wings seasoning on their bigger chicken pieces?

    • Wicked Breast doesn't sound as SFW as Wicked Wings. That's why.

      • +1

you kid (honestly, I like the name wicked breast but i digress) but they used to!
just very time limited. both for the crispy as well as the 'spicy' version.

the 'crispy' version was always available at the singapore airport (whenever i travel there i love dropping by), i find it is way better than soggy 'original' when it's left in the box after a while.

Another great deal from the Kids fattening centre…….

    • +3

maybe don't blame kfc if you can't work out appropriate meal portions for your kids.

      • +1

I dont have kids and I heard the term from a friends 10 year old which I thought was funny……

    • KJ in, KJ out. Balance it.

  • Looks like TAS gets the wicked wings $4.95 fill-up box instead

  • shut up and take my (soon to be worthless) crypto

  • 18 pieces of hot & spicy and 3 large sides for dinner 😁.

    • how much, how? hot and spicy available?

      • Damn it's only letting me add 2 large sides for $5.95 so $25.85 all up. H&s is available year round in WA.

        • How do you get the two large sided for $5.95?

          • +2

@rmk: When you add your 9 pieces it comes up with a "You may also like" menu and scroll across.

  • anyone know if we can order today (the 9 chicks) but pickup tomorrow 10/8/2022?

    • i dont think thats possible but can you try and let us know ;)

  • +1

Is it me or are KFC chicken pieces getting smaller? The not drumstick ones are so small now. They can spin it to call smaller pieces diet chicken or something.

    • +1

We had some in June that were tiny maybe 50% smaller, seemed almost as small as a quail 😂. Had some again in July and they were back to normal size. Perhaps a supply issue?

    • +1

Either chickens are getting smaller or you are getting bigger.

  • Whats the OZ staple side to go with this deal?

    Maybe chicken + rice?

Chicken + chicken just aint going to cut it.

    • Definitely chicken and rice with a few slices of cucumber.

      • That sounds like a go'er!

    • Coles $2.2 diced frozen veggies.

You don't need more KJ from rice if you have 4 KFC pieces.

    • +1

the coating on the KFC already has carbs.
      pair with veggies.

    • I have been using the meat from the chicken with crumb next day as meat addition into my fried rice. Tastes really good .

  • +6

A good hack is to throw the chicken pieces into the air fryer to reheat it. Turns out nice and cripsy. Also feels a little bit less oily as well. I normally do this as soon as its bought from the store. It's also a great way to bring the chicken back to life the following day. Wouldn't recommend doing it to the chips though unless its been stored in a sealed container.

  • A group of us at the office group purchased this. So much chicken! If I bought this myself it would have taken a week to finish it. Thanks OP.

  • Is this just me or I can’t find any spicy fried chicken in this deal. Are we having a national crisis here with no hot and spicy kfc chicken !

  • Do they not do the 2 for$5.95 large sides anymore?

  • i have recently discovered that KFC hot and spicy goes alright with rice and some pickled vegies maybe some kimchi …. might have to buy some lol

  • This offer no longer appearing in the app. what gives?

    • It depends on the store. For me, one store doesn't have it but another store does have it.

      • Your right. My store must have run out of chooks. Thanks.

Just ordered 50 pieces and had to wait 30 minutes just to get my order including queue time!

  • 9 Pieces of KFC = 2 cups of coffee

  • Amazing! It's back!

  • How come I can't order coleslaw with me chicken? Is this due to the price hikes?

  • Bit of a miss today. My local had drumsticks half the size of normal, would be lucky if there was 40g of meat on there. Spewing as we asked for all drumstricks.

The coating was as oily as f**k. I reckon I could have juiced each piece and have enough oil for the household. The workers must have been under the pump and maybe the oil wasn't hot enough.

Anyway I didn't eat it.I didn't want a big box of grease, how they going to sell a big box of grease?

  • +1

I just had this. Profound post-kfc clarity happening at the moment.

    • Realising that life has like one good thing?

      • Time to start a mukbang YouTube channel.

  • The poor staff are getting pumped lol. Cars snaking around the restaurant and a bunch of ppl inside.

  • +1

Post KFC nut clarity and am regretting downing 2 of them 9 piece boxes for myself already.

Arteries clogging, veins are popping, heart is heavy and weary of an incoming stroke.

    • Did you really eat 18000KJ?!!

I’m trying to bulk up as I’m underweight by consuming fast food or at least that’s what I tell myself.
Currently under 60kg at 175cm height.

  • Ordered 2 x 9 pieces, got 11 tiny drumsticks. How disappointing. Has anyone had any luck complaining through the app?

    • +1

You need to call the store and made a complaint. They may offer you another 9 pieces for free

    • Same, was lucky if there was 40g of meat on each drumstick.

  • +2

Saw this deal on the app earlier. But don't see it anymore around 7:30pm Sydney time.

    • I still see it right now. Colonel's Offer section.
I don't think the Colonel knows about this offer.

    • Whole bunch of stores near me have all sold out as well. Get in early next Tuesday.

    • I think each store has its own quota for this promotion as I can't see the offer in town hall, but it is still available in darlinghurst.

      • I checked the two KFC's closest to me and both no longer had this deal under the Colonel's Offers section anymore. Will keep in mind next time in regards to store having their own quota. Will aim for lunch pick up instead of dinner pick up to avoid the issue of stores running out of this deal.

    • Same problem here at the Carlton Vic store. They were selling it over counter only and pulled the offer soon after I ordered mine in store. KFC clearly underestimated the demand.

  • Easy pickup at my local and redeemed my survey for small chips and OJ. Ordered 2x 9 and got a fair combo.

  • Got a pack tonight. Still greasy and meat is still quite dry. And yes the pieces have become smaller. For $10 it is still ok considering everything else getting more expensive.

  • Kfc near my home is super busy and crowded. Hopefully they are not running out of chicken. Wife been waiting for more than 40 mins.

  • +1

OMG. I just got a box full of soggy fried chicken. None of the crust of the chicken in my box is completed (most of them don't even have a crust) and it taste not crunchy at all.

I have no idea how the chicken become soggy as they just came out of their kitchen 5 mins ago

Don't buy from KFC East Brighton in vic as they are trying to rushing to complete the order only.
    Shame.

    • +1

That describes 75% of my KFC experiences tbh

I got mine from Highett at 5pm, and it was pretty good this time round. Very quiet time though, so that might have helped. Personally I think time of day matters more than the location.

And funny they call it Brighton east, when its closer to Brighton North or Caulfield South

    • +1

Original chicken is always soggy. Never crunchy. This is why I prefer hot and spicy when it's available.

      • I've had plenty of crunchy af Original drumstick. It's luck of the draw.

    • Same experience at the Noble Park VIC store. Terrible store overall; I could hear staff chatting and swearing in the kitchen—loud funky rap music at the end of the shift. The warmers are almost empty one hour before closing time. The store is usually run by a young manager who doesn't care much about customer service quality, and food is often hit and miss. I waited 15 mins and got a box of soggy chicken drenched with oil. I had to air fry them for another 10 mins making them edible. I couldn't believe how much oil had come out of the chickens (probably from the oil wasn't hot enough)

      • Same for me.

    • +3

Ex-KFC employee here. The problem with these 9 for $9.95 offers is the demand is so high that the cooks rush to get more chicken out the door and keep people from waiting. Usually the pressure cooker requires 1 minute of venting before the chicken is ready to come out and this gets shortened when rushing. The oil isn't drained properly and the chicken doesn't get a chance to be exposed to the air before being packed into boxes is another reason it can end up being soggy and too moist.

      • Pressure cooker?
As in deep fried in a pressure cooker or
Pressure cooker then finish off in a deep fryer

        • The former. Deep fried in a pressure cooker.
