  • Has anyone got this and can provide feedback?

    • check our feedback on ebay, will give you some idea.

  • Keen to know if you sold any at 599…

    • Mission impossible

    • well , we used to sell them @599 for about 3 years.
Only got 7 left, and we are no long sell those solar panels after.

  • quick check to find out that regular price is around 190 everywhere else , but there are some available for under $100.
Not good enough for spontaneous buying, but may be not bad price for those who after the solar panel.

    • The under $100 one is not even close to 160w, and with pwm charge controller, that is why they are so cheap.

  • How to check how many of this will run heater, microwave and TV ?

    • +1

      1600w heater will need 10 x 160w panels

    • +2

Ha ha. While you're at it, why not also check if it will run your air con, two door fridge freezer, heat your water and charge your tesla?

  • +1

Using the measurements on the item page, this panel would be lucky to be 100w max.

There are many controllers on cheap panels out there claiming to be MPPT which are in fact PWM. I’m not saying this is the case with this product, just something to be aware of. When you’re relying on solar, buying cheap will always cost you more.

    • mate, the solar panel brand is perlight, not those cheap brand. And how can you tell from the size how many watts the solar panel will be?
As they are getting smaller and more efficient.

  • How does the "Shade Tolerant" technology work?

    • There will likely be bypass diodes so that if half the panel is in shade, the other half will still function. Rather than being effectively producing nothing.

  • Got 300kw foldable solar panel advertised around $200ish last year and purchased , test result is nowhere near the output, wouldn't trust the numbers

    • Basically you can tell from the price…
We used to sell them $599.

  • 16.7kg is net weight or gross weight (with packaging box, etc)?

  • Sold out, 89 with 10% off

  • can this charge a normal sedan car battery? how do i calculate how long its gonna take to fully charge one?

    • Yes any solar panel will charge a car battery.
But you need to tell.me what the size of the battery is and what's the state of charge of a battery.

But rough numbers on a large 4x4 battery, let's say it's 80ah rated and it's and it's 50% soc works out to be about 12v half full and the solar panel is a true 160w in good sunlight in spring it can output 8 amps for 4 hours a day.

Another way to work out solar performance is watts denied by light hours 160w *4 hours =640 watt hours.

So a house with a 6600w solar system in QLD with 6600w*4h=26.4kwh per day across the year.
4.2 hours is the average light hours for the mackay area across 12 months. So more hours on summer and its less in winter.
