Can this be stacked with the $70 Cashrewards offer ?

    • Hey Mate, According to the terms and conditions, No, This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other corporate offer or discount.

  • +1

    How do we sign up.

  • Hey OP. Looking at a reconnection in late October. Would the gift card still be available if the connection with Exetel is delayed?

    • +2

Hey speirsy76, According to the terms and conditions, Your broadband service must be activated by 15th Sept 2022 to be eligible for this offer.

We defiantly will be coming back with more deals for you to choose from.

      • Thanks for getting back to me OP. I’ll check out the deals available in a couple of months time.

  • +1

Can you specify a start date when you signup or is it immediate?

    • +3

Hey Camelthief, in the sign-up journey, you do have an option to choose your start date( it can be immediate or for a later date till 15th Sept 2022), for example, if you would be using your own modem, you can sign up ASAP, if you require modem from Exetel, then the connection will take time, as first your modem will be delivered to you.

      • Thanks Mate,

I was looking for a start date around 17th August which looks possible.

        Cheers

  • Does it include static IP? Or at least a routable IP?

    • Hey netbies, No it does not include Static IP, For more information please contact Exetel directly on 1300 310 920

  • is this a month to month plan? how long do one need to stay on before switching again? any exit fees ?

    • +1

Hey mate, It's a month-to-month plan. No exit fee & If your broadband service is cancelled within the first 30 days the transaction would be deemed invalid and you will not be eligible to receive the offer.

      • -2

Hey bud so what's the minimum signup period and when are the GCs expected to be given out? TIA

        • +2

Hey mate, According to our terms and conditions, Your broadband service must be activated by 15th Sept 2022 to be eligible for this offer and the minimum sign-up period is ASAP.

@Manyo: Thanks champ have a good one! 🍻

    • +2

Exetel require you to give 30 days notice when cancelling plan. Keep that in mind for the future. You can't just churn out to another provider and expect a swap over. You will be charged if you do not let them know a month in advance you are leaving.

      • so minimum stay 2 months for this offer?

        • Its all in the fine print :)

  • Damn signed up via cashrewards only a few weeks ago

    • +1

Me too, that's $110 cashback, better than this, although still pending approval.

  • I have NBN TPG connection and using TP-link modem , will the exetel work with that?

    • Hey Nickbag, your TP-link modem will work with Exetel, the only condition is that it shouldn't be locked.

  • What are exetel like? Some prettty horrible reviews online for drop ours and custmer service. People metioning line fee's and termination fees after 6 months. I need to change by th end of this month so would be a good deal.

    • +5

From June 2021 they were bought by Superloop. So probably only worth looking at reviews beyond that point. It's my understanding they have the same backhaul as Superloop now.

      • +6

        Superloop are fantastic for us.

      • Did the Linton family sell out of the business?

  • I am trying to sign up but nothing happening when I tried to click next button after the site confirmed that I can get it.
"Congratulations! You can get NBN™ FTTP at your address!
Additional nbn™️ New Development Charge may be applicable*"
It's not letting me proceed with the order/connection!

    • Hey salingpusa, Kindly DM us your address, in order to check the issues that you are facing.

      • Have DM you.

      • Hey Manyo, I'm having the same problem, getting the "Congratulations! You can get NBN™ FTTC at your address" but clicking next does nothing.

        • Hey High_Point, kindly DM us your address, so that we can cross-check the issue.

  • +1

Hi OP. Can you please clarify the following T&C?
"Customers who have signed up through Econnex Comparison during the last 6 months, will not be eligible for this offer."

Does it mean signing up for nbn deal or any other energy deal?

  • Do you get a free modem when you sign up? Also is it worth switching over from Belong, which has been real bad lately?

  • +4

Hey sandscruise, "Customers who have signed up through Econnex Comparison during the last 6 months, will not be eligible for this offer." this condition is only applicable for NBN deals only.

So, if you have signed up for any energy deal with Econnex, then you are eligible for this offer, and if you have signed up with any NBN deal in the past 6 months, unfortunately you will not be eligible for the gift card,

    • Thanks for the clarification

  • +2

    Hi.
    What is this ?:
New Development Fee (If applicable) upfront $300.00

I am a bit scared because I have to indicate my debit card number without knowing if they are going to charge me 350 or not.

    • +3

      Hey London,

NBN Co charges $300 when a new nbn™ service is activated for the first time in an area NBN Co has designated as a 'New Development Fee'.

NBN is available, but due to your property being a new development and not yet connected to the NBN the one-off NBN New Development Charge of $300 applies. This charge is levied by NBN and is applicable regardless of the NBN provider that you choose, It is one time fee and if you have already paid, you will not be charged again.

Kindly DM us your address, we can cross-verify if it will be applicable to your address or not.

      • Hi Manyo,

I just tried to sign up and it flagged that there is a new development fee which shouldn't be the case as I am using NBN right now with the same type of connection.

Is this something you need to check?

      • Same. Have NBN for years and i get the $300 new development fee if applicable thing as well. I know there is no fee to pay, but still why show it?

  • Anyone has idea on their speed? I recently connected more and their 50/20 speed is worse than 25/10 TPG.

  • Hi Op, Any idea how long it takes for Exetel to receive the order? Signed up 30 minutes back, but no confirmation email from them yet. I would like to get it connected today so that I can cancel the Tesltra plan before they charge me tomorrow.

    • Hey Vpn, kindly DM us your reference number, in order to track your application.

    • I too applied online, more than 30 minutes now, but no email yet.

      • Just to update, I got emails from Exetel around 2 hours after submitting application, all seems to be on track

  • +1

I've signed up but haven't seen any confirmation that I will be getting the gift card. Followed the link, checked my address and got through to the end. My sign-up confirmation makes no mention of this deal. Something you can check for me OP?

    • Hey lebrongarnet , kindly DM us your reference number, in order to track your application.

      • Hi there, my start date won't be until 8 September. Is there any way to confirm that the $100 GC offer has been activated (even if it wont be received until after activation occurs)?

        • Hey vonvon, Eligible recipients will receive a $100 gift card by email up to 90 days after you have successfully activated your service.

      • +3

I have DM you my reference number as well. It didnt mention about the $100 gift card as well on the email, after I signed up.

Maybe this should be included in the custom email for those registered over ozbargain link for better customer experience? Otherwise everyone will be wondering whether their giftcard will be tracked and honored accurately.

        • I agree, the offer should be included in some correspondence after signing up.

Take a print of the webpage anyway for future reference.

        • They might have updated the email when i signed up 10 hours ago

If eligible, you will receive your Woolworths eGift Card within 90 days from your activation date.

  • Can you set a start date with this deal?

    • +1

Hey impoze, Your broadband service must be activated by 15th Sept 2022 to be eligible for this offer.

In the Signup journey, there will be an option to choose your start date, you can choose ASAP to15th Sept 2022, according to your requirement.

  • Why are we unable to pick weekend for the start date?

    • Hey MeesusEff, connection applications can only be processed on weekdays, that is the reason you might not be able to pick the weekend as the start date.

  • +1

Do we need to contact previous provider and disconnect?

    • Hey seanzyc, Generally all the leg work will be done by the new retailer but on the safer side check with your previous retailer once the service gets transferred so that you won't be charged twice.

  • Is performance and support any better than superloop or at least on par?
Does Exetel uses vlan in the router config?

  • Opticomm services/connections eligible?

    • Hey alpsz94, yes Opticomm services/ connections are eligible.

      • Thanks Manyo - applying now!

    • Hey @alpsz94, Do opticomm require different modem? I was using Telstra NBN model for all precious NBN connections.

  • Currently with More on the 30% off for 12 months with a commbank offer. Not happy with the speeds and connection drops but nothing mission critical going on anyways.

How is Exetel in comparison? Will I be swapping for something equally bad or better?

  • +1

Something is wrong with the address lookup. NBN™ is not available at your address, please select the connection type. I'm on NBN 1000

    • Hey dominicpacquing, kindly DM us your address, in order to cross verify.

  • +1

So as long as you stay with Exetel for the first month post sign up, you will be eligible for the $100 giftcard?

    • +1

Hey concento, yes, according to our terms and conditions, If your broadband service is cancelled within the first 30 days the transaction would be deemed invalid and you will not be eligible to receive the offer.

  • Took the deal about two months ago. Switch to more nbn via Econnex. No sign of the $100 voucher. How can I contact Econnex to sort it out? Apparently no contact point on their website.

    • +1

Hey cpj3822, If you have not received your gift card within 90 days, please contact Econnex Comparison on 1800 13000 or e-mail us at [email protected].

Or, kindly DM us your reference number, in order to track your application.

      • About 60 days so far, so I need to wait another 30 days?

        • +1

Hey mate, yes, according to our terms and conditions, Eligible Recipients will receive a $100 gift card by email up to 90 days after you have successfully activated your service.

          • @Manyo: Ok. Btw, what reference number you mentioned? I don't have a reference number from Econnex.

            • +1

@Wetmeme: Hey cpj3822, at the time of signup, you must have received a confirmation email, in that email, there would be a reference number, if you are not able to track that, no issues, kindly DM us your email address through which you signed up with Econnex.

      • +1

The number should be 18000 13000.
Note triple zeros, the one you listed is incorrect, also incorrect on your webpage (the one within the numbered items, the one on top of the webpage is correct though)

  • I'm currently in the process of potentially moving houses. If we move, would we be able to transfer our connection and still keep the bonus gift card?

    • Hey timmythelamb, unfortunately, you would not be able to transfer your connection to a new property. You would need to sign up again for the new property.

  • Currently on Superloop, my 6 month promotion ends in Sep and was told I was paid until 28/09.

What's the best way to churn please? Should I sign up Exetel on the same date? And churn from Extel after 6 months on the 28th and repeat? I read some providers charged on a monthly basis, I wouldn't want to pay $55ish for simply 3 days of use……

    • Hey moneytomyway, you can sign-up the day before your plan expire, as Exetel connects within a few hrs,(if you choose to use your own modem).

  • AHWELL i tried, keeps saying my given details are incorrect. I tried passport and medicare number.

    • Hey easylife, kindly DM us your phone number, one of our team members will give you a call ASAP, to assist you with signing up.

  • Eligible if switching from Exetel Business to Exetel residential ?

    • Hey eric-houkin, Unfortunately, switching from Exetel Business to Exetel residential is not eligible.

  • I just switched to the 50/20 plan with my previous plan stopping at midnight. How long does it usually to take to take effect/receive confirmation via email?

    • Hey callumkhang, kindly DM us your reference number, so that we can cross-check your application.

  • I’m on Superloop FTTP which was an upgrade from FTTN, do I have to cancel my Superloop plan once I sign up?

    • Hey omguleh, Generally all the leg work will be done by the new retailer but on the safer side check with your previous retailer once the service gets transferred so that you won't be charged twice.

      • you'd think in 2022 the teleco's would be rich enough to refund the difference if that service wasn't used during the period time.

  • Does anyone know what the exclusion period is for churning back onto Exetel? 6 months?

  • +1

Exetel is the worst internet provider i ever joined.
