Victorians don't get a break huh

    • +4

We can, we just have to bloody pay for it. At least we get free masks…

    • Just be glad they stopped locking us up after two years.

  • +11

Seriously? Now Victorians are being discriminated even in Victoria?

    • +1

At least you are in Victoria, we need to come all the way to Victoria to avail this offer :P

  • Them's the breaks.

Since it excludes Victorian residents then I think Victorian residents should exclude visiting Philip Island from now on.

    • +1

Now thats a proper drawcard to visit

What difference does it make where the visitors come from?

    Seems strange to me.

It's over 5hrs just to the NSW border. It's 11 hours from Sydney. Victorians would spend 2 days, other states will very likely spend more.

Basically, more profits in what I'm assuming is their slowest time of year. They're not being charitable. In fact, interstate vacationers probably wouldn't realise if the prices went up from before this announcement unless they were already looking.

      • Why would you spend more than two days there?

You’d run out of things to do.

        • This is exactly why Victorians aren't included. Even giving oneself no "relax around the resort/motel/caravan park" days, you can do day trips from Phillip Island or spend a few days in another location (such as Melbourne) before going home.

Again, interstate travellers bringing more money than Victorians would.

    • Is it possible to use an office address as your residential address?

      Asking for an Ozbargainer.

  • Track day?

As a Vic resident my frequent trips to PI just ended. I'm outraged.

  • Not going to use this but damn Phillip Island is a real nice place for a few days break.

Please support my petition to boycott PI because of this. https://chng.it/pXpfG4CW2B

  • Can the second person be victorian, brother coming to visit for a week, this might be good

    • I would call/chat/ them to ask. I think not.
