Once you go rotary, you never go back

99% of people who consider Bosch Green don't have a need for anything that fancy.

If you just need to drill small holes in brick to insert wall plugs, a rotary hammer is waaay overkill. You also can't drill holes in wood or assemble furniture with a rotary hammer.

  • What's the difference between this green drill and the vlue version? Also is this a hammer or impact drill? I need a drill for interior wooden doorss/cabinets, exterior brick walls, general woodwork, etc. Would this drill be good and do ineed to buy the drill bits?

Green is their consumer line, Blue is the professional line. Blue is better in every way and the price will reflect this.

For general home use Green will be perfectly adequate. If you're using it many times a week Blue might be worth chasing (or any other pro line of tools).

      • Thanks!

  • Price has changed to 73.92

  • NOTE: this is NOT brushless

  • Would you use this if you have to do a lot of brick drilling? If not what's the best one? I don't mind using the corded ones if they are better? Thanks :)

    • Yes, if you use masonry bits , but use a corded rotary hammer drill. It is far quicker and better.

  • Thanks OP, just received mine
