Okay, my last Bosch deal is already out of stock, let's see how this one goes. Bosch Pruning Saw (including battery) for $59.43 once you apply the 25% coupon.

Many might have looked at the NanoBlade micro-saw for this, but the pruning saw is the proper way to go (assuming you're cutting branches, but then why you'd want the NanoBlade for general woodwork I have no idea).

It should be noted that this is the 10.8V with a built-in battery. It’s $71.80 for the 18V model (comes without a removable battery), if you already have a Bosch 18v battery this is far better.
The other alternative is the Reciprocating Sabre Saw (also without the removable 18v battery) for $87.85, which is rated to cut through more materials and a greater depth of wood.

    • @boozler It may help to explain your comment. It's overall rating was 3.4⭐stars, most of the 1 or 2 star ratings would state that;
"I liked the Bosch pruning saw at first but after a year the battery or charging stopped working properly".

  • does it include battery charger?

Apparently, reviews on Amazon are great.

I have this, bought back in 2019 from Amazon at $77.
It's been great and is still going strong.
    I definitely recommend this.

  • Have the Ozito version of this, works better than. I expected. Admittedly only bought because was a promo kit clearance for $10 with battery. They've since gotten ridiculous with the pricing, skin was $59 at the time, then shortly after jumped to $109 (and now $119)

wow, skin only as well. Why on earth would it be more than the higher powered recip saw?

Was looking for one of these for my mum, thought it could go well with the $20 charger and battery.

    • I think it's a great tool. Lightweight and the V shaped clamp makes a big difference especially if you need to climb a tree to trim branches. Still going strong after 1.5yrs and alot of cutting. Only downside is the vibration to your hand.

  • How does this go cutting thru fibrous stuff like bamboo?

    • +1

Cant see any reason why not. There isn't much you cant cut through with a recip saw.

I've cut up bamboo stakes with my reciprocating saw. Also use it to do the lawn edging.

Edit: yeah, straight through. https://youtu.be/JPZcPnuL7-c?t=186 (not the same saw but some thing really)

  • Is it out of stock or the deal is over? Looks like it's selling for $104.30 but a 25% coupon won't make it $59.43.
