  • Thanks, in deed need a new sim!

  • +3

I misread the title as Bosch Mobile..

    • +5

Yeah it's wiper blades for your phone

  • +1

Anyone able to extend their current plan with these, I believe it's hit or miss via chat.

    • Would be interested to know whether you can use this to renew a current plan too.

      • +2

Dunno if this is what you were looking for, but I bought two of these to renew my wife and I's current Boost plan when they expired. I just said I accidentally purchased these instead of renewing the plan. They (Boost Chat) were fine in putting them onto my current plan. There were no questions asked. That was in Dec 2021, though…

Not sure if the policy has changed since then though.

        • +1

I just did that yesterday. I only said I have a prepaid sim and my number is with Boost Mobile already. The transfer process was done in 5-7 mins.

          • @toommy: We re-charged 4 services last year via chat. One took about 90 minutes but the other 3 were done in 10-15 minutes.

            .

    • Did it s few weeks back. No problem

    • Just did two in the last month, and two 12 months before that.

  • -1

These are kinda confusing. About half the price of a month by month with the same data, but this data is only for the whole year? Why?

    • So that you consume your bank of data before expiry and then pay for add-ons to get additional data.

    • +4

The expiry for this prepaid plan is 1 year. In that one year there is 140GB of data included and unlimited calls and SMS. Not sure which part is confusing?

Some plans are 30 days. They include maybe 10GB and unlimited calls and SMS.

These yearly plans exist because some prefer to pay upfront for the entire year, some pay upfront for a month and some post pay after each month. Just different plans for different people.

      • +3

Ideally I wish I could just sign up on a plan with this, year after year pay $140. If only

        • +3

Yeah, I really dislike how they keep getting us to go through the hoops with port-outs and ins, just to catch out the unknowing or lazy.

    • +2

Carrier gets your money upfront. Doesn’t need to incur admin of processing payments each 28 days. You don’t burn data each month you don’t use.

  • is the expiry of the sim 26th sep or the offer expiry is 26th sep? my current plan is valid until mid of oct, but looks like this is a good price to buy now.

    • Deal expiry. The sim expires 12 months after you activate it. To get the bonus data you need to activate before sept 26.

      • How much data will I get if activate it after Sept. 26th?

        • +1

As far as I know, you would get 130GB after 26th Sep. But there will be other extra data deals shortly after that.

  • Just curious, is this sim on the telstra network? Currently paying $65 pm for the 180 gb data plan with telstra which includes 5g connection. Would this sim also be 5g compatible?

    • +3

Yes. It’s full Telstra retail network. It’s also on a 5G trial until September.

      • +1

5G trial extended through to 18th Nov 2022

        • I’ll be very surprised if it’s not permanent. Telstra needs to use spectrum efficiently.

  • +1

Thanks for the post, I dropped my Boost for a month but Circles coverage and speed isn't really very good

  • Interesting my code starts with FYEO

  • Where is the redeem coupon? I cannot see it during checking out.

      Hi rep. On your website:

you have to port your phonenumber from telstra or boost company to other nontelstra /nonboost carrier such as optus or vodafone carrier like lebara and amaysim ,then after 28 days ,you port back to boost sim !

I have done this before with a day, not 28. Is this a new requirement?

    • Hi op @luckymobile, can you do similar price on your eBay store ?

  • +3

I am NOT going to downvote the deal.

But a warning to new buyer. This company is the worse to deal with. I bought and paid same day. I have sent 3 email asking abt tracking number. Never replied. One week haven’t received a respond so i put a disput through ebay. Seller never reply till the 14th day. Then seller said never have record of my purchased nor postage?

So he will go ahead and refund? No solution or replace or apology nothing

Totally disappointed. Oh check seller feedback of claiming their item are express post!

  • Does boost support esim now?

    • Nope but has been "coming soon" for quite a while… :(

      • A lot of Telstra and Optus carriers support esim now. Boost needs to catch up.

        • They can take their time while being crazy cheap

        • Really?! I though that the big 3 were running a monopoly and wouldn't let anyone else use esim. Looking for a way to use mobile on Apple watch without paying millions for a contract. Is this possible now?

          • @jimboner: Check this out, should you find one to suit your needs.

            https://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/esim

But if you mean to share the same mobile number/data pool to use by both the mobile and the watch there is no solution yet from MVNOs.

    • What's the deal with esim? I know Japan's had it since forever ago, but i don't know what the benefit is

      • Save plastic. Instant activation. Can cause more issues if you lose your phone, have had issues transferring numbers too.

my 2cents coming from a Telstra $55 40gb post paid plan.
got a 240+40gb 12 month boost sim recently, worked out ~$17/month.
took about 30mins on chat to port from Telstra but no issues and kept my number.
coverage has been great with the bonus of now having access to 5g which my Telstra plan didn't have.
    happy Boost customer

    • Telstra coverage is awesome as it's our national telco

  • no esim, no number share for watches otw would be all over it

    • Those two are on my list, but Testra retail at that price i can look past. Dealbreaker for me however is no roaming.

  • I am still not sure if I should take this Boost prepaid plan or a Woolworths mobile for $180, but with the monthly 10% grocery shopping discount…

    • From previous experience data on the woolies network was slow

  • Last year, I was able to buy an Optus im card for $1 from their web site. Once received, I ported my number from Boost to Optus and then was able to port straight back to Boost with the new prepaid plan.

This year, I've noticed that the Optus sim card says "Recharge required to activate SIM at a minimum cost of $10". Does anybody know if it's possible to port out from Boost to Optus without having to activate the Optus sim and then port back to Boost?

    • +2

You can buy a $1/$2 Optus SIM and activate it on the Optus Flex 4G plan in the MyOptus app for a single day at $1 then immediately port back to Boost if you want.

  • It says wrong code… Is it working?

    • says "targeted" so only some get the code in their My Ebay account…I am not one of them

  • if i am currently with boost already, do I need to port out with $2 voda/optus sim and port back in? Or I can just ask the customer service to help us to recharge it?

  • Did the rep just secretly jack up their price?
    It's now $149.5 after the $15 discount.

    • Looks like it. Was 161 before

  • Tried to price beat luckymobileau at officeworks(Doncaster) last week , but they refused to do that . They said luckymobileau is not a legit website and has many negative reviews . Has anyone else had the same experience?

I ordered from this website a sim on the 25th of July and it still didn't come! Emailed them a week ago - no reply… Please be careful with them. Might not be legit. I will be looking at getting my money back now…

    • Another VICTIM!!!!
File a dispute in ebay, eBay will ask you to wait another 7days for Seller reply. More likely seller will reply you on the last day like mine. You will get you refund. But there will time wasting and stuffing around. Dont forget to give him a good feedback so other ppl know.

      • Sadly i didn't buy through eBay, but from their website directly. But i paid through paypal so i am hoping i can get my money back through them. I emailed them today and told them to get back to me by the end of today or i will be reporting them.

        • Good luck mate!

    • UPDATE

Found out that i actually ordered it on the 17th of July. Sent first follow up email on the 7th of august. Nothing… Finally got a reply from them today after threatening to report them as fraud.

Turned out they had it in their system that i was meant to pick it up (i did not chose that option)… But there were no emails with the confirmation that it was ready for a pick up… They offered to post and i agreed and requested an express post. I will keep updates on whether or not it will happen…
