    Darn, I was going to order $30 worth of $4.95 nrl socks. They were that price last night, but they're back to their normal $9.99 price now.

    Completed 6 different orders, have received everything already!
    Almost feel guilty for making 5 x $100 orders (with the $50 voucher) 50however full marks to 'the iconic' for following through with the special and honouring all orders! Will definitely use them in the future coupon or not :)

    Also apologies for them having to ship a shoe horn in another box by itself as my jacket came from another supplier haha..

      Codes only seem to be OK on full price items - not sale items which had been a big bonus previously. With so many sale items you mightn't find too many the codes will work on.

      Yeap, I am impressed with their products, sales (genuine sale prices) and customer service including the speedy delivery. But not too happy seeing their 'strategy' in dealing with the use of vouchers by raising the "sale" price to the point where the vouchers become useless. And now their strategy had failed them an causing potential embarassment. It's still much better if they just leave the fragrances excluded from the sale imo

      No, it hasn't gone up. The slashed price is the discounted price. The current price is just the normal price.

      E.g. Burberry brit 50 ml you will the see the price has gone up from $48 to $75. The retail is not $48 lol.

      I got an email saying my parcel is currently being processed and delayed but I got a shipment email at 12 AM on Friday, so I'm entirely sure what their email is referring to.

    Looks like they are increasing prices across the board to compensate for the vouchers. I paid $68 for the 150ml Hugo fragrance (before coupon discount) and it is now $108. Meanwhile the Heavy Smartwool socks I paid $29 two days ago are now $39. Seems to be counterproductive as before when they had competitive prices, I would have recommended their site to others but now the prices are no longer competitive.

      yep. Even if this was a disastrous marketing campaign, they should have just cut their losses and chalk it up to a one-time-off mistake. But raising prices and prematurely blocking vouchers? That's just low.

      The funny thing would be that it was originally going to be a bait and switch but they had problems with switching the coupon code off. They must have been pulling their hair out while watching the swarms of Ozbargainers buying their precious over priced stock away. They switched it off and said "YES! I dare you to buy buy this at a higher price now…WMHAHAHAHA!!"

        it is so obvious that this was their plan
        why else would the coupon work but only on full priced items? its not like you can half fix a coupon to work

        i bought a $29 item then got $15 off and it got delivered in a totally unneccesarily huge box via express post, which would have cost at least $10+ dollars
        cost price of the item obviously isnt $4 esp including overheads. so clearly they stuffed up their sale. But with no formal anouncement that it was an error (despite honoring sales +1 for that) and then jacking up prices and crippling vouchers. Thats low

        probably wont buy off them again

    It is such a shame that the Iconic have decided to go this route. I was originally planning to buy from them even after the coupons expired as their prices were competitive with overseas companies (maybe 10-20% more but worth it given they are local, their flexible exchange/refund process and great customer service). However, now that they have dramatically upped their prices, they are no longer competitive with offshore options.
