Hopefully my order will arrive soon. To be honest i am quite worried that they won't be able to keep up with demand.

A shirt i ordered that was already marked down had only 1 unit left for the S size last night. So since i ordered it, it should be sold out in that size. But when i look at the same item now it still says 1 unit left…. hmmm I guess only time will tell !

Cant really blame the Iconic for rethinking there prices and coupon strategy - Im sure i wasnt the only one trying to figure out how they were making money on some of the items that were heavily discounted and then halved again once the discount was applied!! (I know its awesome!!).

They may have underestimated the power of the OZBARGAIN army - we are too strong!

Not a bad Marketing strategy though at least everyone knows that he Iconic exists now. Thousands of orders would have been placed over the last 48 hours thats a lot of people that are going to experience the service, thus far my experience with them has been very pleasing.

I do a lot of online shopping and i think you would be hard pressed to find a better customer service setup and shipping and returns set up anywhere online…Very Impressive.

Great bargain, I had a few of my orders shipped yesterday so props for them for following through.
It was a bit of a naivity by the marketing department I think to issue conditionless voucher codes, especially for thing like the fragrance department which looks like its outsourced somehow (ie they dont hold stock in their warehouse) and would have straight out been loosing money on each order.

That being said, im sure everyone (if they were like me) became VERY familiar with their website. I was actually pretty impressed with their prices, their range and how much of my size was in stock (rare for the aussie stores). Im quietly optimistic about this store

  check the invoice - I think you'll find the $50 discount has been prorated across each item in your order. Each item will have a lower price, which I guess is what they would refund.

It was good while it lasted and there are still some great deals to be had with the coupons and sales

We have probably given the iconic a good exercise in making sure they have everything in place before they kick off another coupon. (especially to have T&C on the coupons as the voucher that came with my orders had nothing re T&C's.)

well if this is a marketing strategy for The Iconic, it surely worked for us. Instead of spending a lot of money on marketing on TV/papers etc just pass the savings on us and we just spread their name via word of mouth!

Now I need to go to post office to pick up my shoes. Ordered it wed afternoon, attempted delivery at 8am yesterday! Fast and efficient delivery!

In terms of savings I think it can be sustainable given that they don't pay for huge rent fees for shopfront anyway, and people now may think about looking at The Iconic to buy stuff if price is reasonable.

Just wondering, does anyone know if this was planned or if it's an accidental one off??

It looks like they only wanted the discount for their full priced items, but i think they screwed up in that it allowed all items on their website to be discounted. Which is probably why they changed it now to only full priced items.

So the discounting on all their items including sale items, probably won't happen ever again ?

  Looks that way - I see that codes like SYD6X4 only work on full price items now where yesterday they worked on anything. I had a three pairs of shoes in my cart when they pulled the codes yesterday which would have given me a pair free. Today, the bargain isn't even close so no dice. Still, I'll keep comparing what they have with StyleTread for shoes, but I think we won't see this deal again.

The annoying thing is some of their items have not been reduced in price, but are still marked as "Sale" items so you can't use the coupons - If you look, the "reduced" price is the same as the original price. :(

My 4 orders were attempted (I say that very loosely) to be delivered today. I could see someones shadow walking to the front door. When I got up and walked to the front door, I saw an Australia Post person running back to his van only for him to speed off (doing ~70km/h) on my quiet suburban street. No knock on the door whatsoever. He did take the liberty to throw a conveniently pre-filled 'Sorry, we missed you card' on my doorstep though. Now I have to wait until 5pm to collect from my local post office. Bloody Australia Post are dodgy.
