If you don’t have eBay plus technically would be $626.67 if you just pay for eBay plus

some people say you can get an RTX 3070 for about $700 when on sale these days. Probably worth it for the extra 10% cost.

Good point, depends on the individual I guess, personally don’t have the psu or case for a 3070

  • What is HODL?

    • +1

It means hold off from buying until prices are reasonable

    • +1

Hold On (for) Dear Life. Basically "Don't cash out just yet, the market will get better"

      • I always thought it was just some dumb meme because of a typo of 'hold'

It is. It's from game of thrones. It started with crypto investors hence the irony in using it for the gpu market.

    • +1

Its a stupid term for GPU buyer.

lol same price as 2 years ago. It's almost like nvidia bought themselves an extra gen

I got the 6600xt for $350 new. Saving the $550 was definitely worth it since I already had a decent gpu (GTX 970). People didn't hodl with a lot better cards and I think they're crazy. If they had something like GTX 560 then I completely understand. A lot of people with 10 series cards could've hodled but chose not to despite the insane prices.

I've never spent over $400 on a gpu. Never have never will. Games today are a lot shitter than 10 years ago. So far I'm disappointed and I'd be furious if I spent more, I did my heavy video gaming back in 2005—11 and I've learned it's not worth paying $1000 for a gpu it's binary and silica lol. As you will eventually too. Bitcoin was also just a massive distraction from the property market, a lot of millennials wasted time with that instead of looking at Melbourne/Sydney.

Now I am hodling with a 6600xt, and can wait at least 3 years for prices to correct. Nvidia cards are still a ripoff

  • "It is noteworthy that some of EVGA's midrange GeForce RTX 30-series boards are sold at prices that are higher when compared to Nvidia's recommended prices. Considering the fact that we are months away from mid-range GeForce RTX 40-series, there is no current need to sell them below MSRP. Several weeks down the road, Nvidia's AIB partners may reconsider dropping their prices on mid-range GeForce RTX 30-series devices as well."

ha, what a laughing stock…should be $450 max.

    • When 4000 comes out it will be

  • 3060ti or 6700Xt

    • Def xt if all you give a shit about is high refresh 2k gaming and a bonus if your system is amd

    • If it’s just for gaming/general system then 6700xt
