30% off all Viking Beef Jerky, 200g for $16.80 (Was $24) + Delivery @ Viking Beef Jerky

30

Received an email that they're under new management and have 30% off all their products. No code is required. I can't see and end date.

"We usually ship within 72 hours."

I know many of us have been burnt by Geronimo / Viking Jerky in the past (myself included), but the communication with the new operators seems good (they're responding to my emails almost immediately).

How many times has this jerky been under new management?

    • too many

    • Apparently not enough times to stop us from coming back.

  • Crikey, I just had my order for jerky refunded. Is anybody else having the same thing happen?

    • I ordered Monday, and enquired yesterday as the website was very screwy and was worried they'd lost my order.

Was advised they've been far busier than expected and my order was ready / would be picked up tomorrow (today). They did say 72 hours processing time so I'm not overly concerned yet, but I'll believe it when I see the dispatch notification.

It's a bit strange they flat out refunded you :-(.

      • Have you received your order yet

        • I got mine a while back. They deliver everything in individual 50g pouches that you see in the image that seal with some ziplock thing.

The thing is, it doesn't really seal well at all, and the seal fell apart on a few of the pouches I got. Unlike normal things you buy in pouches that normally come completely sealed and you then have to tear it to open it and then have access to the ziplock thing, this does not have the initial seal.

Also, from what I can tell, the jerky is a fair bit thinner than what it used to be, and it's very brittle. Not sure if it's because it's thinner and dried more, or if it's that and it dried out more because of the bad packaging.

@Aleigh123: I experienced the same problem. I think it's too dried out.
