[Afterpay] Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Tablet (2022) $396.09 Delivered @ Mobiciti eBay

AFPAYDAY

Original Coupon Deal

This is the new 2022 model (SM-P613) of the S6 lite, which now has a Snapdragon 720G instead of an exynos 9611 (as in the SM-P610), and ships with a (passive) S Pen. The chassis and screen is the same as the 2020 model.

This is the highest level tablet I can find that still retains a SD card slot and 3.5mm headphone jack, that also comes with Australian warranty and support and widevine L1 (but might not be whitelisted yet). It ships with Android 12 but it is unknown how many android OS updates this will get - the original S6 should get one more (so Android 13) and an additional one year security after that. If this counts as a 2022 release (which it should because it has its own product number, but I can't seem to have a concrete answer), then this should get four android updates and then an additional one year security after that as all S series tablets should. Having said this, it is almost guarenteed to be have much more software support than any other Android tablet brand on the market.

Hardware wise this is not as good as the Xiaoxin pad plus or the Xiaoxin pad pro, but the tradeoff would be for the local warranty and software support.

This is part of Afterpay Day sale for 2022

Fairly certain this will do netflix in hd. My tab s4 did and there's no reason why this won't.

Tbh. Netflix is just being a dick restricting devices that can very clearly run even up to 4k video and forcing it to only play sd content.

I think it's an anti piracy measure but as usual it only hurts paying customers

    • They might think the screen is too small and it's a waste of bandwidth for playing 4k on it.

I'm talking about devices that include Android TV boxes also not just tablets.

These Android boxes are more than capable of doing 4k and are often plugged into 4k TV's.

And the end user is the one burning their own internet's bandwidth anyway. So why should netflix care about that. So long as customer is paying the subscription fees.

  • Great price. Cheaper than Samsung EPP.

Great device. Love ours. Kids love it for games, videos (Netflix HD) and art with the included. S pen. Absolute bargain. MicroSD is loaded with a huge card for plenty of apps and media.

I'd probably buy another but refuse to use Afterpay.

    • Does the 2022 version have working ANT+ support t3chshopper? i.e. do the system apps show ANT + DUT, ANT+ HAL service, ANT Radio Service and ANT+ Plugins Service?

      • +1

Sorry. I actually have the model with the older CPU.

    • Can I ask why you refuse to use Afterpay? I'm fairly new to the concept and now I'm worried I'm missing something?

      • It it works for you (and it does for many) that's great. I'm just aggressively anti-debt for a number of reasons. I'd rather save up and buy something. Call me old fashioned.

        • I don't understand this argument. We don't put anything on hire purchase, loans etc (except the house) and we clear our credit cards every month as well. But I still buy things during these Afterpay sales (bought an LG C1 55" last time for example) and what ever amount I put on Afterpay to get the max discount, once the transaction goes through eBay, I log into Afterpay and pay the rest off within the next 5-10 mins.
          So there is no debt.
Refusing to use Afterpay as payment method to get a discount is folly I say.

@nfusion: So, it sounds like you're in the group of people I referred to in my first sentence.

          • @nfusion: I personally don't agree with ebay and pretty much all retailers getting on the bandwagon promoting BNPL and /or offering discounts that can only be accessed by having said BNPL service.

Very easy to wait for a different code /sale. There's no shortage of sales.

Too bad it is only Afterpay.

  • Cannot get the discount applied? Price stays at $465.99 ?
    Can anyone else confirm please?
    Thanks!

    • You paying with afterpay yeah?

      • yes, that is the option I clicked on during check out, then I tried to apply coupon code….

        • And you have an afterpay account? I don't have one can't test it. Before there was loophole where you can select afterpay but pay it off in full without using afterpay.

          • @xoom: No, I do not have an account yet , just wanted to make sure it works before I create one! Still, one can select afterpay as payment method, so I would have thought discount gets applied then…

            • @Geizhalz: This definitely works, got one yesterday at the discounted price.

  • sry, wrong spot

  • just got the lenovo p11pro, sold my s6lite (2020), it is night and day difference.
screen is way better, cpu has gone from just enough running youtube 1440p to 4k with mutiple app running at the background without a sign of slowing down.
this 2022 has similar cpu but the screen on the s6lite is just average at best.
