oops. no India in the list. might be good to buy the youtube premium subscription

      • +1

Some providers list locations which don't correspond to physical servers, so they won't work with certain geo locked options.

    • +8

      Searches for Turkey on Ozbargain

      Top Result.
      Grindr XTRA

      Hope you enjoy your coffee.

  • +1

Thanks OP, Extended my existing subscription

  • +10

I remember buying their heavily discounted lifetime subscription back in 2019 for around $90, still using it to this day. No complaints so far

    • I paid $40 on stacksocial

      • Paid $19 AUD for lifetime sub. Still going good.

        • +7

          Paid $0 and still working…

          • +1

@jv: That would have been an awesome deal!!

          • @jv: madlad

      • They gave me one when my $20 PureVPN 'lifetime' expired after 5 years and they didn't have it to renew.

  • +1

    Awesome! Thanks OP!

  • +4

All set until 23/09/2024. Thanks OP.

P.S: Already had 13 months remaining from the previous deals :)

  • On windows10, can not connect to any server

    • it is an interim issue I have seen happen since yesterday. It is a bit of hit & miss now

  • +2

Any advantage over free windscribe I (hardly) use

    • I also want to know

      • +1

more servers including 3 specifically for torrents

        • Thanks. What are for torrent?

          • +1

@Techefy: you mean the servers? You get France, Canada & Romania. Speed ain't that great though but servers my purpose and it is free :)

They have a few streaming servers as well, but with more and more Streaming services blocking VPNs it isn't of too much use (at least for me)

            • @nokia3660: Thanks mate. Any chance this working to stream uk netflix?

            • @nokia3660: I'm using it in a vm with wireguard. I generally get 50-70mbps on my 70mbps at best connection.

    • Probably none - You're still being monitored by government(s) owned vpns?

    • Not many servers there on free plan. No turkey or india last I checked

    • Windscribe free is limited to 10GB usage. I grabbed the lifetime license plus additional licenses from Keepsolid. Just message them asking for a discounted price. Ended up paying $35 per 5 user licenses. It's 1 license per device.

  • +1

    Good one. Thank you

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

  • 1st code didnt work for me 2nd one did am I doing something wrong?

    • Try in both lower-case and upper-case. Hopefully get a different result.

    • 1st code needs to be in lower case

    • try 1st code again, same happened to me but then just worked (both times used ozbargains automatic clipboard copy feature)

      • No luck of course its only me

        • +5

Need to redeem that first code in the website. The APP forces all capitals and it will fail.

          • @nickcorr: Thankyou

            • @supatight: I'm being told 1st code has already been used. I presume that's the one used last time??
So I only got 6 month extension (with 2nd code).

  • +1

Thanks OP renewed it for 1 year using both of the codes

  • +2

No longer provides indian server. Paid for lifetime.

  • +1

    How's this compared to NordVPN?

    • +13

      Free

    • +3

It's a terrible VPN, I've used it in the past for India for cheap YT, but they've removed India. Argentina is still actively apparently. For use for NBN type speeds, it's very slow

      • How slow is it? like 1Mbps? 0.1Mbps?

    • its a OK VPN for short term web browsing
but agree with most others its slow compare to Nord
      not good for streaming IMO

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

  • Any SmartDNS codes?

  • +1

Thanks OP extended my subscription to another 11 months 30days :-)

  • +1

    Thanks got 1 year now.

  • +2

Thanks OP. Perfect timing, my Nord vpn just expired yesterday.

  • Can this geo unlock shows from Netflix and other providers?

    • Looks like it. They have the following servers dedicated for streaming including Netflix.

  • +1

Certainly a niche use case but it doesn't work to stream Kayo, I was hoping to watch the R1 of the AFL finals from NZ. I might have to find a pub or sign up for Watch AFL.

    • It's not good enough quality to use persistently, but I've been using it to geo-hop for regional pricing for the last year.

It has a good amount of locations, which is handy for setting up subscriptions or redeeming Xbox Game codes.

      • Kayo simply blocks it due to the IP address.

        • Get a premium provider and you'll find kayo works just fine. ;)

          Or use a smart-dns provider.

          • @soda-pop: Can you suggest a VPN provider that works for Kayo that’s got a 7 day trial? PIA doesn’t work.

            • @sween64: The better they are, the more popular, the more popular they are the greater likelihood Kayo logs the IP address to block.

Best to try thru the VPN deals section and be prepared to not stay with one provider long-term.

    • You could self-host OpenVPN or Wireguard on either your home router if it's capable or with any kind of computer that has networking.

This makes all your internet activity appear as if its originating from your home, which shouldn't be blacklisted.

That or you'll have to find a provider that uses residential IP addresses, though that would be rare or non-existent.

      • All the data would pass through the home router right? Which would require a decent upload speed for streaming, right?

        • Yeah. I have 100/40 and it worked fine, I'm sure 10Mbps upload would be fine for streaming 720p. VPN speed is limited to your lowest link on the server.

Got about 25Mbps with OpenVPN over UDP in Bali, compared to 35Mbps in Melbourne where I live.

  • +1

How is it compare to Surfshark, Nord, Expressvpn, Cyberghost?

    • +2

      Terrible

      • thx,,,,deleted

    • +1

$0 for 12 months is how it compares

    • Just horrendous. Use it if available for free but never pay for it.

  • Trying to sign up as a new user following the link and I can't get it to work. I asked for a 12 month subscription, put the codes in and was told they are not valid or already used

    • +1

Sign up / Sign in through Web and then click on Redeem and then put one of the codes. Then again click on Redeem and put the other code.

  • +1

I don't see a 6 month subscription that I can apply the code to It is either 1 month 1 year or 3 years.

    • +1

An auto-download begins when you click on this link: https://www.vpnunlimited.com/downloads/windows

Ignore what it says on the page and just let the download finish. Once it is done, install it and within the app there is a 'redeem a code' section under the My account tab. Input code there and it should work.

P.s. 'sharewareonsale' code seems to be invalid now.

update The code works if you redeem it on the website rather than in app.

  • +3

Rubbish vpn. Would only ever use it if you dont care about any of your data and require a vpn for non sensitive activities (streaming).

Just pay $5eur/month for mullvad or windscribe. Then you will be happy.

  • +1

    Thanks mate

  • Anyone ever get this to work on BBC iPlayer? I’ve had it for ages and it has never worked on their streaming, even though they have a dedicated server.

    • Was able to view iPlayer program in Chrome browser via the UK - Centre - Coventry - using the latest App 8.5.7

  • +2

Last 1 year free deal, after a week KeepSolid suspended accounts without contact. I just logged into my account to find it was suspended.

    • +1

It's too slow for normal use, I don't think it's a big deal, just use a new email for a year of argentina server access if you need that for cheap google service signups

      • what signups would you get with argentina region? Google photos? google drives? how cheap is it compared to australia?

  • +1

The Chrome extension doesn't seem to work, signed in but the extension just keep spinning.

    • I also found that is the case. It may be a plugin for the main VPN server software, so you need to install both?
This is different to other VPN's such as Nord and PIA that can work independently

  • Thanks, seems to work fine. That is, except the Chrome extension…

  • How is this compare to Private Internet Access ?

  • +1

I know it's free but holy shit is it slow. Takes a few minutes just to even log in.
