  • How do you find the quality of tubamans?

This is Taubmans entry level product. Having said this, it's an extremely cost effective choice, still applies brilliantly. It may not be as washable as Taubmans or Dulux top of the range, but at under half the price, it's great value for money.

      • Being entry level, what is their ‘premium’ product? Thanks

        • Taubmans Endure

          • @paintmate: Endure is nice but TBH having used both I'm hard pressed to say Endure is 2-3x better based on price. It might last longer but finish and coverage is similar.

Also the 'entry level' product is Trade Pro, all I'll say is about it is spring the extra for Tradex.

Finally IIRC from the last time I bought some Tradex, it sure wasn't at Bunnings and Bunning's prices. In fact $125 is around what you should pay at paint supply places.

            • @gadget: @paintmate so this would be best for like undercoating and sealing plasterboard… Then apply dulux on top?

What do you think of British Paints?

              • @George Washington: You should always use a proper undercoat for bare gyprock before painting.

  • any chance of pickup in person to save on delivery?

    • Yeah no worries.

  • Looks like yoghurt

    • Mmmm forbidden yoghurt

Just a heads up, taubmans professional is 20% off for powerpass at bunnings

Happy to help out anyone in bankstown canterbury, padstow or sutherland

    • Agree: Paint is one thing you shouldn't cheap on if you own what your painting

  • General question, are you guys Melb only? Thought i recalled a time you serviced Sydney but could be my dodgy memory.

    • We can ship to Sydney (or other states) however postage costs would have to be quoted individually. Please email for updated costs [email protected]

  • Trade paint marks easily and is harder to wash off. I had new house with trade paint and my wife brushed up against in her jeans and the blue of the denim marked the paint and we could not wash it off, had to repaint the wall.

    • For marks like that you should use some 'magic eraser' sponge (which is basically an abrasive) to remove the mark. It will change the sheen of the area but you can then just touch it up.

Or baby wipes! Work a treat

  • Hope this is eggshell finish 😉.
