    1. nice

    2. i could not believe how much NICER this model is compared to the OG xbox one controller. 100% can recommend.

    • +1

The face that it connects via Bluetooth without a dongle is a solid in my book. Also can testify the comfort against even the 1st gen Elite which is pretty good.

      • m$ really did gamers a solid on this one

      • +1

The face that it connects via Bluetooth without a dongle is a solid in my book.

Doesn't the original Xbox One controller do this as well?

        • +2

Revision 2 of the controller, yes.

    • +1

regarding 2, what are the primary differences that you like? 🤔

      • +2

        Textured grip

The left analogue stock doesn’t shed weird black shavings off after long periods of play (some people say this is actually your skin… )

New dpad is so much nicer

This one can connect to iOS/android directly - the old one could not. For me that’s worth it alone as I play games pass on my iPad

  • wish other colours at this price

    • Same

    • I've tried the red. It doesn't make you faster.

      • +1

I have the black and white, it's like the victorinox knifes… Got to get all the colours!

    • +1

Was considering the blue or red, until I realised that only the front is blue/red. The backplate is white, which looks pretty weird IMO.

  • +1

Is this a good option for PC games optimised for controllers?

    • +1

Yes. Consider the connectivity, however. My OG wireless xbox360 controller requires a third-party dongel on Win7, 8 and 10 (haven't tried Win11). I don't know if these newer ones do.

      • The newer models don't.

    • +2

Yes. Copying my comment from below…

You can connect it with a USB-C cable (not included), Bluetooth, or there's an Xbox wireless dongle you can buy.

Personally, I prefer the cable, it's lower latency than Bluetooth and you don't need batteries.

    • +2

100% can recommend for pc and games pass

  • -6

just dont kid yourself that it will work well with windows bluetooth

    • +2

      Mine does

    • +1

What problems have you had? Mine works very well without issues. I was actually very surprised with how responsive it is, latency-wise and how fast it connects when turning the controller on. I'm running win 10 on a PC with a cheap chinese usb bluetooth dongle.
This was definitely a good upgrade from my prior Xbox 360 controller + dedicated dongle.

    • did you try the dedicated dongle?

    • Wdym? Using an older Xbox One controller, connects and works fine to my laptop's Bluetooth.

    • These have got to be the most reliable and widely used Bluetooth controllers for Windows devices that have been available in the last 10 years. If it's not working for you that probably says more about your PC adapter's Bluetooth stack than the controller.

  • +1

Are these compatible with windows? Bluetooth or dongle needed?

    • +1

Yes. USB-C cable (not included), Bluetooth, or there's an Xbox wireless dongle you can buy.

      • +2

        Thanks mate
I just realised I got a ms dongle from the model before. Hopefully that still works for it. Otherwise bt or cable is fine for me

        • +2

It does. I use an older version & this version on the dongle I got with the older one. You can connect up to 8 controllers to the one dongle.

  • This vs Dualsense?

    • +1

Personaly, I like this controller better even though I have a PS5. I use this for my PC.

    • +2

Since you're asking, I'm guessing you're going to be using it with PC like I do. I decided to go for the Xbox controller for two main reasons - a USB dongle is available, which is supposed to provide better connectivity than BT, and the fact that while some games may be able to display the ⨉/О/△/◻ buttons, basically all of them will display Xbox's A/B/X/Y buttons.

      • I bought a Dualsense which runs perfectly on my PC, but just wondering if there is any reason to get this instead. I really enjoy the new haptic system in the Dualsense.

  • +1

..time I upgraded from the ol' 360 controller… love that but dont like the D-pad… hopefully the D-pad on this one is better? anyway.. I'll find out :)

    • +10

      It is.

      Source: Trust me, bro.

      • Ooooh wonderful, thank you :) Now i'm really looking forward to it!

        • +1

          It's actually significantly better

  • Thanks Op !! got one to go for my Laptop & Battery pack with free shipping .. :-)

  • Hmmm, does anyone knows if the turtle beach ones are worth getting compared to the original?

It is a wired controller that costs more than this deal tho…

      • +1

Yea… I was just looking for some mappable extra button ones.

  • Somewhat out of left field here.
I used the code to buy discounted Funko Pops.

  • +1

Does everyone else find these controllers have issues after a short period of time or are my kids just too rough?

    • What sort of issues?
Bought one pre owned from eb maybe a year ago and recently had RB stop working. Pulled it apart and could see a snapped piece of plastic, $2 on eBay for a replacement and it's as good as ever
Apart from that it's been faultless

    • +1

It varies I've had 4 in about 2 years, granted the current 2 I am rotating between (one from a Series S console purchase and the other a separate blue colour design) that are so far 10 months old and no issues yet. But I returned 2 others (1 was an original carbon/black purchase, which had a dodgy B button…. the replacement controller's RB/RT malfunctioned not long after having the original replaced). So far that replacement has held up, but I'm honestly waiting for either current controller to at least develop the stick/drift issue. I'm using the Series S controller as my main console controller and the blue gets used as a pc gaming controller (well 98% Rocket League).

I've also got 2 other carbon/black controllers waiting to be used (from separate Series X purchases over the last 9 months).

      • We’ve had issues with buttons and analog sticks (or whatever they are called). Drift issues etc. We’ve probably had 8 controllers since 2016 but recently got a series X and all 3 new controllers bought 6 months ago are having varying issues. It’s probably the kids but gee I’ve never had such bad issues in my life, maybe I took better care of things.

        • From what I read the black and whites are pretty bad. The other colours have upgraded internals which apparently sorted some issues

  • +1

Tried to add 3 controllers and then add PARTY40 but says invalid. Do I need to combine another item?

Edit: Reopening the browser worked, thanks OP. Great deal.

  • +3

$79 delivered at Amazon if you can't pick this up or want faster delivery.

    • +2

Also $79 at The Good Guys. Bought it yesterday at JB Hi-Fi and they were able to price match.

  • Does this work with Samsung TV? Xbox app?

  • I was on the verge of ordering a custom one from the Design Labs but it's getting harder to justify that markup when this price is available.

  • Can you also do a discount for PS5 controllers?

    • +2

You're asking the wrong person bro.

      • Oh sorry mate, I thought you’re affiliated or work for them.

        Thank you for posting though!

  • +1

This or the 8bitdo pro 2 for PC gaming/emulation?

  • +1

Just bought a pair of these yesterday and they are fantastic. Fits super well in the hand, the texture on the grips are reassuring, and overall a very nicely built controller. Went for the USB dongle as well to ensure best possible connectivity (have heard that the Bluetooth can be hit or miss), and coming from a Logitech F710 that was having some connection issues, I can say that the connection has been rock solid (sitting maybe 3-4m from the dongle), and no perceivable latency.

I'll note though that my partner reckons they're a bit heavy and her hands got a bit sore after about an hour of use, so YMMV.

  • Been using a dual sense flawlessly on Windows 11 with DS4Windows but I like the idea of having a properly supported controller for windows.

Just started playing Snow Runner again and it's great with a controller.

    • How does the haptic from this compare with the Dualsense?

  • -1

These have about 80ms of latency. Do if you are a response time person (if you have a high refresh tv or monitor with adaptive sync OLED) you will be adding three or four times the end to end latency of your setup just by adding wireless.

Basically the same as turning your setup into streaming levels of delay.

    Food for thought.

    • +1

These have about 80ms of latency

Based on what? cable? bluetooth? wireless dongle?

I use it cabled and don't have any/very low latency.

      • +1

Bluetooth/wireless. If it's plugged into a cable then it's no problem

    • Yeah nah, gonna call BS on that without a source

      • +1

        his source: trust me bro

  • Silly question. Can this be used with the Shield Pro?
