Common Question: What is an ASUS Refurbished Notebook?

Refurbished Notebooks are re-packaged into brand new packaging and include a full 12 month warranty, which is backed up directly by ASUS. There is little to no sign of wear or use with these notebooks as they are usually the result of ASUS repairing a faulty notebook that was "dead out of the box".

And yes some people will never touch a refurbed unit- (this thread isnt for you :p)

  • Heaps better deals out there. 379 with dock is good though.

This makes it incredibly hard to consciously purchase a generic Chinese brand tablet for $50 less.

  • Can i Claim GST refund through TRS with the 32gb tab?

    • Why not? Exceeds the 300 buck threshold.

      • Yeah i just bought it , and they said a tax invoice would be enclosed with the package. All good :)

Btw i reckon the site has some pretty decent prices?

        • The TF101G 32GB with docking is a bit dodgy but decent price for anyone who would like to have 3G on the go. For 50 bucks more 3G is useful and worth it.

        • why is it dodgy? care to elaborate?? I got the $379 one, and I dont think it has 3g/

          Cheers

        • Coz it is not mentioned on the official website. But the device does have 3G.

        • No, the $379 model does not have 3G capability, you need the TF101"G" version for that. Still a good deal I reckon as units are now selling $20 less than when I got mine in April. :(

Mine looked brand new. Bought the 32GB with dock then sold the dock so essentially got 32GB for the price of a 16GB unit.

  • Agreed good deal for 32gb :) I use this tablet and love it !

  • Where does it say it has 3G?

not worth it. nexus tab is coming. at $200 usd…. wait a few months and gone are the days of $600+ tablets. windows 8 tablets would only be priced at that price point.

    • Isn't Nexus Tab a 7"? I already have a Nook colour and whilst it is an excellent book reader it's pretty poor (too small) for many other tasks including web. I'd pay $100 more for twice the display size. Will there book a Nexus Tab 10", who knows, but not buying now because something is on the horizon is perpetual.
