Hey all, hope you had a good weekend!       JB Hi-Fi gift cards do not have an expiry date.

      JB's terms state that any gift card purchased directly through them or otherwise do not expire, I believe ours are labelled as a 10 year expiry but I'm pretty sure that's because we have to include one.

        JB's website says they never expire, even if someone wrote an expiry date on your gift card they still never expire. And why should they, inflation drives the value down on it every day, meanwhile JB themselves have invested that $100, or $92.

              @ychon005: Hey mate, any purchases made after 12 will function fine, the error is only affecting those who purchased prior to 12, so apologies that you've been inconvenienced here. This error was not on our end and has to do with the gift cards being generated. We're working with JB to get this fixed up ASAP, of course, will update as they come.

        I tried all the local shops, but no IKEA GCs are to be found, not even the $100 one (forget about the $50 ones which don't seem to scan correctly).

    Stay away from shopback. Very unreliable with their cashback tracking despite sticking to their guidelines of doing everything inside their Mobile App, no ad blockers, no vpn etc.

    Yet being fully compliant with their guidelines you can still can multiple rejected cashbacks.

    Stick with cheddar or cashrewards mob they are much more reliable

      There currently no limit to the number of JB Hi-Fi gift cards you can redeem on one online transaction at JB Hi-Fi.

      Considering this deal has a cap of five gift cards per Shopback account, you may need to look at other gift cards deals to supplement this one (unless the laptop you're looking to purchase is $500 or less…).

      The non-GST portion of a $100 JB Hi-Fi gift card is $100, so I would absolutely expect to see $8 cashback if I purchased a $100 JB Hi-Fi gift card through this deal.

      GST is (almost always) not payable on the purchase of a gift card, but GST is payable if you redeem a gift card on goods or services that attract GST.1

      1. The only exception I've noticed is the purchase of prepaid Visa/Mastercard gift cards at Coles, where the gift card purchase fee itself attracts GST, because that is indicated on the purchase receipt itself. The strange thing is that the purchase of prepaid Visa/Mastercard/EFTPOS gift cards with purchase fees at Woolworths and BIG W apparently does not attract GST at all, because the purchase receipts I have do not indicate a GST amount, which is rather confusing… ↩

I was in store thinking I could do it pretty much immediately as usual but unfortunately waited a few mins then left due to the delays. As long as purchase can be made today, will be happy!

      Yeah there's a short waiting period here, but not quite 70. For all gift cards with us it's about 7-14 days, usually 7.
