    • https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/lenovo-thinkbook-14s-…

      This seem really cheap. What do you guys think?

      • ThinkBook != ThinkPad

        That's why it's cheaper.

        • It is worth to pay extra money for x1 nano that OP listed? I just nmit for casual office use. Multople tabs on chrome, youtube, words etc

          Thanks buddy

          • @watupman: Oh… it is 8gb soildered ram :(

          • +1

            @watupman: solely comes down to your use case.

            X1 Nano, is a very special laptop specifically designed to be less than 1kg (very light) and very small and compact.

            You'll probably be better off with L/T series.

            Having used the X1 Nano, I am not a fan of the keyboard. It's very shallow. I much prefer the T14 or L13 yoga or L14 keyboard.

            • @OpayuOnam: Thanks heaps man! I didnt think of the shallow keyboards aye. Also apparently 8gb soildered ram is a big nono

              • @watupman: 8gb is enough for the use case you explained, specially with fast SSDs we have these days.

                16gb is good for a bit more heavier work.

                Look for 16gb L13 Yoga gen 1, I've seen a few near new on Facebook marketplace around $500-700.

    Is it just me or do 3080s and such disappear when the 10% is on. Or do they not sell them at all anymore?

  • Seagate ironwolf 4tb 5900rpm (ST4000VN008) down to $135, WD red plus 4tb and ironwolf 4tb 5400rpm (ST4000VN006) down to $130.50, however shipping starts at 12 aud (at least for east melb) so would only be worth bothering in buying multiple it seems
