    contemplating this

    • Just bought that one.

      • +1

        Same!

        • Maybe you got last one, sold out now.

        • Hoping it's not a price error just noticed the blue and red are $549. Hasn't been dispatched yet.

          • @Davbar24: I picked mine up from Chadstone today :)

            • @itswilla: Thanks that gives me confidence

            • @itswilla: Still not shipped…getting nervous. Live chat is investigating the delay and contacting me via email asap.

              • @Davbar24: Dammit they refunded said can’t supply. Tried to get the blue but wouldn’t do the price

    • That was very good. Bought an SE for $399 on the prime day sale and thought I was doing well.

  • Anyone knows whether we can price match smartwatches with 28 Degrees CC? Dumb watches are excluded from policy but electronic is fine…

  • Which series has ECG function?

  • +4

Aren't new ones expected to be announced next week, with potential price reductions on the existing models?

    • +1

if theres any left by then, sure. already sold out on amazon for this model in most colours (and they havent matched this price yet)

  • +3

Series 8 coming soon this month.

    • Next week on the 7th September (5 more days)

    • +1

Lets wait for Series 8 :D

      • +1

        At what price?

        • +1

Its mostly cuz when its release the older models get more cheaper.

  • Comes with ECG?

    • +1

No. Series 4 and up have ECG except the SE

    • is ECG that useful?

      • +2

        Imo no

      • I’ve heard that it is limited to a single lead ecg which is different to the (?12 lead) ecg used in healthcare settings. The Apple can supposedly detect atrial fibrillation (heart arythmic disorder), but I’ve heard that it’s pretty much useless for anything else.

I’d be keen to learn more if anyone else can comment. E.g., what about VT?

        • VT? Do you mean Ventricular tachycardia?

          • @cryptos: Yep, I’ve heard that it’s crazy obvious if you are experiencing vt (vent tachy) so I’m unsure of the utility in the watch detecting vt (if it can), perhaps the data could be shown to an cardio-electrophysiologist to help with diagnosis? If an ICD was inserted, then I’m guessing the ecg feature in the Apple Watch would be again pretty much useless.

I guess my main question is how useful is the (single) lead ecg in the Apple Watch?

It would be really good if the Apple Watch could measure the ST segment, that could have a massive benefit in the detection of heart attacks / MI.

            • @Worf: It states constantly that it does not detect heart attack. Probly as much to do wi legals as hardware limitations.

              • @0jay: Yep, well aware that it doesn’t detect heart attacks… I was simply saying that it would be good if it did… but it doesn’t…
