ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming D 16G OC Graphics Card $859 + Del ($0 to Metro / C&C/ in-Store) + Surcharge @ Centre Com

290

Found this deal while scrolling through pcpartpicker.

The deal is also at Scorptec https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/graphics-cards/amd/86775….

Not as good as the MSI deal from over a month ago, but it's still not too bad.

It might also be worth HODL for the next-gen or whenever the thing happens with Ethereum this month.

The only bad thing might be the weird RGB fan design, but I'm pretty sure it can be turned off through a switch on the GPU.

Been way cheaper only less then a month ago

  • Damn glad I bought the $350 6600xt given all the bad deals since. It didn't really provide a massive upgrade from my GTX 970 either (and I play Battlefield/Hell let loose). I would wait for $450 6700xt tbh if you already have gtx 1060 or faster.

      Its your CPU/Ram….. you should be seeing a 229% performance upgrade from a GTX970 to a 6600xt

      See link for PROOF https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gtx-970.c2620

      a 6700XT is 261%

      • Nah 6600xt performs poorly in unreal 4/dx11 games. I run 10400 and 3600mhz memory

Latest drivers have bumped up the FPS in Dx11 by around 25%

I upgraded from a 6600xt to a 6800xt recently (Afterpay sales, got a Gigabyte OC for $790). The 6800xt runs Cyberpunk on 4k, ultra settings with low raytracing BEAUTIFULLY. Also the 6800xt doubled my 3dmark score for my 6600xt.

I think this would be a better deal if it started with a 7 instead of an 8.

I upgraded a 6600 non XT to a the ASUS TUF 6800 $670 deal and its a pretty cool and quiet card.. i switched it to the quiet bios and it locks its TDP from the AMD 250w to Asus's imposed 215w

Not played any games that require the extra performance but i do have two 165Hhz IPS 32" 1440p monitors that i would like to get close to the 165FPS mark on the games i do play.. :)

      • Reckon it's worth 800 for the current deal going for it?

  • I see this needs 3 x 8 Pin connector. My PSU has 2, if I use a splitter on one is that a problem?

  • also available at Mwave for $859 : https://www.mwave.com.au/product/asrock-radeon-rx-6800-xt-ph…

(Any issues with this Asrock card - would you pay $50 more and get the MSI Radeon https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/rx6800xt-gaming-x-trio-16… (not in stock)

Has anybody stopped to consider that these things just cost Too Damn Much in the first place. Why do we need nine hundred dollar video cards?
