                @ozbargain2019: Yeah I did. They also knocked it back saying they can't price match that low as it's below their cost and the best they would offer was $25 for the 1m length.

                Has anyone had any dealings with inkstation? Any reason to think that the cables they are selling aren't legit? If they are legit I'm happy to just buy through them as I want a few anyway so it will be free shipping.

                  I've never bought anything from inkstation, so can't comment. Personally, I would try stick to trying with officeworks or JB, or buy it from someone trusted like centrecom for $29

    Apple official ones are terrible quality, just get MFI-certified braded cable instead. I got 2 of the belkin ones for $20.

        You can get 2 Blitzwolf cables MFi-certified 1.8m for $35, shipped from China though. I've had them for a couple of years under the abuse of children and they're still going strong.

      Thanks for sharing.

      Our experience has been the opposite — our household has gone through 10+ supposedly MFi non-Apple cables over the years — admittedly none are Belkin or Blitzwolf which may be leagues better (and probably legit MFi).

      Having said that, two of our original Apple cables are looking the worse for wear with electrical tape holding the lightning-side plug together… but that's after 4-6 years of regular use.
