Shows as $237 on the landing page, but goes to $165.90 when added to bag.

  • Thank you! Ordered for the wife. :)

Pretty much $199 everywhere though. Still a deal if you NEED them.

BOSE QUIETCOMFORT EARBUDS discount as well ($221.90)
But seems BOSE QUIETCOMFORT "2" EARBUDS will release this month…

      • Early tech reviews from the standard industry sources seem to think that the "2" will be a huge improvement over all previous gens + competition.

Of course most of us will wait for hands on reviews but personally I think it's enough to hold out for and not buy anything just yet.

    Has anyone got these.
    Any reccomendations or opinions.

I have these. Not as good as the jabra 75ts i used to have, but they also dont have the sporadic disconnection issues they had. Main issues are they will stay connected sometimes when put in the case, and battery life is not great. They are solid but id probably check out the 85ts in future, or whatever jabra has at that point

      • +3

If youre looking at the 85ts then I would suggest go for the Jabra Elite series, as the Elite series has independent earbuds, the 75ts/85ts coud only use the right earbud or both buds. You couldn't use the left bud by itself.

I think the equivalent to the 85ts are the Elite 7 Pros or Elite 7 Active. Have seen the Elite 7 Active go down to 178 before, can check price history on camelx3

      • Thanks for the feedback.

I agree with Mika that it will sometimes discharge itself while they're in the case for no reason. I prefer these over Jabra 75T for running as I need the extra rubber thingy for them to stay in. The sound quality is average. The other noticeable difference to the Jabra is that these somehow manage to amplify the sound of wind. If you live in Melbourne and use these outside you will only hear wind.

  • These or Beats Fit Pro?

      Anything else beats beat

      • The question here is does it beat Beats while beating?

        • nah, even when both turned off, anything else beats beat

Why would people want to buy a premium earbuds that doesn't even do Aptx, LDAC, or SMB? Yes it supports AAC but Aptx/LDAC/SMB I think are better than AAC.

Is the average user meant to know what these things mean? Cause I got no idea…

      • not really, to put it simply they're just protocols to describe how well sound travels through bluetooth

      • +1

That's a pity because I was like that too until I compared LDAC vs SBC while listening a Flac song.

The quality and details of the song I was listening were far more pronounced in the former than latter. Never bought Bose again since.

But yes I do agree, this price is good for what it offers.

    • Because nobody has heard of these things let alone know what they do…

I personally like Bose earbuds as they are by far the most comfortable for my ears, they sound good enough to me and on discount the price is reasonable to me.

This be true but I think it's more the other features that differentiate the good cheaper TWS brands (think Edifier, Soundcore, Earfun) from the big ripoff players (Bose, Sony, Jabra)

Such as multipoint connectivity, adaptive ANC, Wireless charging, in-ear detection, wear detection etc.

      • I agree! I used to think they were all the same until I learned about these Bluetooth audio protocols and these other features (ANC and multi connectivity are very handy too. In-ear/wear detection are a given these days for most earbuds).

        That's why I think it's worth a research.

        • Definitely worth the research hey. Local earbuds in brick and mortar are like a year or two behind in features too.

I have the Edifier Neobuds Pro and I can notice the difference with LDAC/LHDC but not everyone will. But the dual drivers with BA Knowles are definitely worth the step up in audio quality.

            @adrianhughes1998:

I can notice the difference with LDAC/LHDC but not everyone will.

            ok then…

    • What would you recommend?

    • I ended up putting my xm4s down to aac from ldac because I couldn't notice a big difference in quality, but I could notice the difference in battery life

what makes these 'sports'? i bet they still wont stay put when i go for a run.

    • +1

You should watch this review https://youtu.be/7Caf2-SjcRs

      • na, lol. i read the OP link, apparently it is kinda water proof which is nice. but it doesn't address my chief requirement of a sports bud.

    • +2

They stay in my ears 99% of the time when I run. (1hr)

      • If I have to adjust my pods every 1,7 minutes it would really annoy me and mess with the workout.
I have JBL Endurance Dive. They stay on very well but touch interface is Horrific if sweating alot or running in rain.
Can touch interface be turnwd off on these?

    • +1

These stay in great on runs for me, that makes them sporty enough in my book

  • +1

These Bose are great for running! The wing tip keeps them stable. I've never had luck with the Jabra 75t while running - I have to constantly adjust them.. it's very annoying.

  • These have the same problem as Sennheiser Momentum V1. They drain battery life like there is no tomorrow.
