This is not PCIe Gen 4 and it's DRAMless.

PCIe 6 is coming soon, wait for the drop.

    • Will it compatible with old m.2 slot?

Dude, don't hold your breath. That's a very long time to HODL.

Great SSD for PS5, just a note though before anyone buys it for console use:

    • This still needs a heat-sink enclosure
    • If you want optimal speeds, it's best to update the firmware of the SSD via PC - for this you will need a dedicated secondary PCIe SSD slot
    • Samsung Application to update SSD firmware won't recognise USB adapters or external PCIe enclosures, so before buying any check reviews for compatibility.

This won't work for the PS5, this isn't the 980 PRO.

  • Need a good 980 Pro deal now.

  • this or 970 EVO Plus?

    • +1

I think 970 EVO Plus has DRAM and is faster

  • Almost pulled the trigger a few days ago for a monitor and an ssd as I’m slowly buying parts for a new build. This + the Jbhifi deal earlier before the correction on the Asus monitor (they haven’t contacted me yet if it’s cancelled) has made today alright
